Yakuza 0 - Kiryu vs. Kuze Dub
kvoice for Kazuma Kiryu
Kiryu needs a voice similar to his Japanese one. It needs to be sharp, crisp, deep, intimidating, dark, sexy, smooth like a knife through butter, and overall badass. It also needs to have the potential for explosive amounts of energy, particularly when fighting. Being able to sing isn't a bad trait either: Kiryu takes great pride in his singing ability (It's unnecessary for this dub, however). Two examples I can give are Kevin Conroy as Batman (https://youtu.be/gYMBwqtMht0) and Crispin Freeman as Holland Talho (https://youtu.be/BcqqS8wSBBg?t=5884).

Kazuma Kiryu would eventually be known as the Dragon of Dojima, but in his early years, he's brash, insecure, and naive. Though he's eager to prove himself to his superiors, that eagerness embroils him in a crime-laden mystery where he's framed for a crime he didn't commit, and must decide where his true loyalties lie. Like any good hero, he has a strong, strict code of honor and an equally strong sense of justice. That being said, he is still a Yakuza at heart, no matter how hard he tries to walk away from this life. He's a man of action rather than words, preferring violence over diplomacy, but only when it is justified, to protect a friend or in self-defense. He's friendly and easy to open up to those he's comfortable around, but has very little in the way of true friends. He's wise, but not all-knowing. He starts an idealist, but gradually becomes more realist over time. And he will never, ever kill. In short, Kiryu is what the real life Yakuza would say the Yakuza used to be: a man who keeps the streets clean of malicious punks, doesn't bother ordinary citizens, respects his bosses, and who the people love.
In this scene, Kiryu is hunted down by his former patriarchs after quitting the Yakuza and refusing to give up crucial information to them. He's cornered in the sewer by Kuze, who wants nothing more than a rematch after losing to Kiryu in a fistfight earlier in the game.
(on the verge of tears) It's okay. It's okay, Pops. To me... You were my... (crying out into the night) ...my true...father!!
(starts calm, rises into righteous fury) Shooting a girl is your diligence? Killing Tachibana and Oda? If you're so desperate to draft yourself a title...I'll write it in YOUR BLOOD!
(weak, in pain, arm broken) K...Kuze...so that woman...was one of yours...
