Medikuma for Scotty Free
Scotty is a troubled teenager when we first meet him. We meet him in season 3 episode 10 when he helps his dad knock out two trespassers. However those two trespassers were only looking for answers for what happened to their friends. Scotty's father Jordan is strict and abusive. Not physical but emotional. Scotty, Jordan and Scotty's mother all lived in a cabin in the woods. However Jordan wanted to protect his family by not letting them outside the house. His wife and son disagreed. Jordan and his wife got into a heated argument. She stormed outside to take a breather but it was the wrong time to do it. There was a walker (zombie) outside the house and it killed her by ripping her throat out. Scotty and Jordan were devastated. Scotty coped by trying to forget about it. Jordan coped by keeping his undead wife chained in the backyard. Scotty doesn't agree and he knows his mother is dead but most of the time he's afraid to say it. When Jordan tries to force Scotty to kill those two trespassers Scotty refuses. This leads to an argument and Scotty finally shows his father that he was wrong. Jordan breaks. Scotty is a troubled teenager, desperate to find someone to love him. He will.....
He sees that Scotty has one of his hands in his jacket pocket. Scotty's father puts the water back into the press.
Father: What do you have there?
Scotty quickly glances at him.
Scotty: Nothing.
Scotty's father sighs as he walks over to him. Standing over him.
Father: Take it out.
Scotty: But--
Father: Now!
Scotty takes it out of his pocket. It's a picture of his father and mother and himself when he was a baby. The mother is holding baby Scotty as she smiles at the camera, along with her husband with his arm wrapped around her, smiling at the camera too. It looks like they were a happy family. Before everything. Scotty's father pauses for a moment, shocked and angry.
Father: Where did you get this?!
Scotty: I found it.
Father: Where?!
Scotty: In your room okay?!
Father: What the hell did I say about going into my room?! And taking my shit?!
Scotty: You two looked happy okay?!
Father: That doesn't give you the right to sneak into my room taking shit!
Scotty: I JUST---! <Breathes heavily> I'm sorry.....
His father puts the picture into his pocket and storms towards the press in the kitchen. He grabs the water bottle and throws it at Scotty. Scotty gets a fright as he catches it.
The walker tries in vain to reach Scotty, snapping its half rotten jaws and hissing.
Scotty: Hi Mam.
Scotty clasps his hands together, looking at the ground in misery.
Scotty: Dad wants me to feed you today.
Scotty's walker/mother growls at him.
Scotty: I don't want to do it, Mam! I'm not a killer like him! He says that we're not killing people but I know we are! I'm sick of it, I can't do this anymore!
The walker/mother strains at the chain and growls again.
Scotty: I- I love you Mam, but you're dead! I know you're dead, but Dad.....He....<sighs while wiping tears from his eyes> I know you're gone.
The walker/mother growls again, stretching an arm to try to grab the boy. Scotty stands up and faces her/it. The walker/mother strains to reach him, its reaching fingers only inches from Scotty's face.
Scotty: I wish you were still here. I wish you could tell me what I should do.
A hoarse gurgle comes from the walker/mother.
Scotty: <crying/angry> You shouldn't have done it! I don't care how bad Dad was, you shouldn't have left me!
Scotty turns and runs back to the house. He bursts in the back door where his father is still tightening the screws on the lock. His father is knocked backwards a little with the fright.
Father: What the fuck? Come back here Scotty!
Scotty: Fuck off!
Scotty runs up the stairs to his room and slams the door behind him. He locks the door.
Scotty: <In tears but filled with anger> You gave me nothing! NOTHING! You won't let me out of your sight! You're always shouting at me, putting me down! You keep killing people. You're.....you're a bastard Dad, and you keep trying to make me like you.Well, I don't want to be like you! Mam didn't want to be like you either but you wouldn't stop! You're the reason why she's....like that! Stop trying to hide the fact that EVERYTHING is YOUR fault!
