Brother's Grimm: Little Brother and Little Sister
blackcatbonifide for Little Sister
Little sister is on of the main characters in this fairytale. I need the same actor to be able to perform her character both during her adolescence and young adulthood. This role must have an British English or North American accent, as I need her character to complement the brother's. There will be a total of 15 lines containing a total of 260 words for this part.
"Please, dear little brother, do not drink or you will become a wild beast, and tear me to pieces!"
Direction: In this line, her brother is about to drink from a cursed brook that will turn him into a tiger. At this point in the story, I'm looking for an adolescent sounding voice.
"But come back to me in the evening. I must shut my door for fear of the rough huntsmen, so knock and say, ‘My little sister, let me in!’ That I may know you. And if you do not say that, I shall not open the door."
Direction: At this point in the story, I would like her to sound like a young adult.
"How fares my child? How fares my Roe? Twice shall I come, then never moe!"
Direction: She has become a queen, subsequently been assassinated, and an imposter has taken her place. She's basically dead, and coming into the room every night to check on her baby and brother (he's still a deer). She should still sound like a young adult. Feel free to try and make it sound creepy, ghostly, etc. Its not necessary, but I'm open to any creative license.
Great job. The two ages have nice distinction from one another. Your choice of delivery for the last line is really impeccable. Thank you for your audition.
thanks:)
