Professor Roger Matthews comes back to find an unconscious R3kt0, and a spilled experiment... Panicking, he tries to wake up the now changed boy, and succeeds, but not as he had planned. As soon as R3kt0 woke up, he ran, enraged at what he had turned into. Matthews felt guilty, so now he made it his responsibility to follow and watch over R3kt0. Professor Roger Matthews is very fearful and timid, so he would probably have a stuttery, maybe more high pitched voice.
