Alfred is the butler of the Thomas and Martha Wayne and there son Bruce. After the tragic death of Thomas and Martha Wayne,  Alfred takes in the young Bruce Wayne. He is the closet thing Bruce has to a father and helps Bruce when he is crime fighting. Alfred comes off as caring and stubborn to keep his adoptive son safe.
