Shinra is brave, confident, and has a willingness to help others. He is very proud of his ambition of wanting to become a hero; a promise he made with his mother when he was five. He doesn't hesitate to act immediately when the time calls for it, and can sometimes be impulsive in combat, but has also displayed the capability to step back and think about the situation before acting.  Shinra gained compulsive smiling after his mother was killed and everyone assumes he did it because he smiles when he gets tense, but no matter what he still wants to be a hero above all else
