The light of the full moon shone through the cracks in the silk white curtains as they blew back and forth in the breeze. The soft patter of footsteps echoed down the marble halls as a young boy crept along the wall. Shadows danced around him, his purple eyes darting back and forth as if he were searching for something in the darkness.

When a familiar door came into view, the boy quickened his pace, and he nearly tripped over the dull red carpet that lined the hallways. Grasping the smooth metal handle, he pulled the door open to peak inside. The room was dimly lit by a single candle, and on the bed sat a young woman. In her hands she held a small journal with the name “Volisaria” sewed onto the cover. At the sound of the door squeaking open, she turned and smiled when she saw the boy looking in.
