LUCIFER -- Age Unknown, Gender-Fluid/Not Specified. Perhaps the most well-known of the demons, Lucifer is the King of Hell, the First of the Demon Princes, and the Demon of Pride. As the story goes, Lucifer and Michael had their disputes over who would be the favorite of the Creator. But with the Creator missing and the demons garnering more attention from the humans, it was Lucifer who sympathized and wished to give the demons a place within the Heavens. But with Michael assuming power, Lucifer was cast out of heaven along with the demons. It is said that Lucifer helped guide the demons to a more peaceful life. That is, until they had gone missing above a thousand years ago...

MALE OR FEMALE CAN AUDITION FOR THIS ROLE.

Vocal Range: Normal to Lower Pitched
Vocal Personality: For the demon of Pride, Lucifer is actually a very modest character. Solemn and quiet, Lucifer's voice could be compared to that of a broken doll -- often only repeating the things expected of them as if torn down both physically and emotionally. There's a sense of sadness in the way that Lucifer speaks, which makes them an ultimately sympathetic character when you first encounter them in the story. Despite the solemn tone, when Lucifer begins to show their angelic side and their pride, their voice can command an entire room without any issue at all.

Vocal Notes:
Lucifer appears throughout Season Two as more of a minor/supporting character, but ultimately has a bigger role within Season Three of the series. An Episode Zero is also potentially planned as well, giving Lucifer much more screentime as well! They'll have their moment to shine after how their introduction to the series starts, so have no fear! Lucifer -- despite being noted as male in most dialogue connotations -- is ultimately a gender-ambiguous character, with every androgynous features overall. Both male and female can audition for this role!

  • "We are not the enemies of humanity. As the texts preach and burn the thoughts within the minds of their followers, they become blind to the notion that evil can take various different forms. Some are shown with an angelic face, others with a devilish one. But perhaps it is not the sight of these familiar faces that you should trust -- more rather the integrity that their heart and soul possesses."

  • [broken] "I fear that it is not I who can offer you aid, my dearest wolf... I remain here, bound to him within this cage -- for this was the fate that the Creator had chosen for me. I have played my role, and it seems fate was not kind to me within this struggle for control. I am the Martyr for you and the others. And thus, I will embrace these shackles... Especially when it will sure your safety from angelic exaltation..."

  • [commanding] "Too long have I suffered under your watchful eye. Too long have I waited for the chance of escape -- only to be faced with despair. It was my own foolishness that stopped me from becoming my own messiah and savior. But no longer will I stand by. I will NOT be controlled by you any longer... And I will NOT allow myself to wish for another to rescue me... I will be the one to save myself, even if it means burning your world to the ground."

Aaaaye! Good to see you over here too! :D I have to say, your voice is probably one of the most unique voices that I've ever had the pleasure of listening to -- across all the auditions that I've hosted! You have this very low and majestic tone that I don't hear that often with voice actors, and boy howdy! It sounds amazing! I could listen to you all day~ c: And your naturally low and regal tone too really is fitting with Lucifer as well! There's this amazing authority in the tone that just highlights just how strong of a character Lucifer is. Fantastic! The only major downsides are one the technical side and one note on the performance side. Technical side, there was alot of very harsh noises on the microphone as well as fan noises in the background. The fan noises I'm not too concerned about (Because boy howdy! Stay cool during these heat waves!), but the aggressive muffled and hard noises really made it hard to hear because the audio peaked alot. Like, if you put your finger a bit away from your lips, and you feel like your finger got pelted by something, the sounds's gonna be too harsh unless you bring yourself a bit farther from the mic. Either that, or a pop filter! That'll also help! :D Also, take the time to ease yourself into the scene and leave the scene when you hit record. That way, you can cut out the sound, perhaps, of you starting the recording, or you can signify that the noises aren't part of the scene too. Get that full immersion, for yourself and the people listening to you perform! Also, for Lucifer on the character-wise , he's got this authority to him, yes. But weirdly enough, when you first encounter him in the story, he doesn't appear that way. You hear him talked about throughout the story as kind of a not very good person, but each time you meet him, he sounds sad or gentle or kind, which contradicts his entire build-up. That is, until that build up happens around the third line. But because of this, there has to be a shift in emotion to properly get there to that final point, and why it's important -- for all these auditions -- to know the two different voices/personalities. Developing that character until you get to that final set of lines can really drive that performance home and really makes him a fun character to portray! Besides that, I really enjoyed listening to your auditions! c: Many thanks!

Ah!!! Thank you for all the great, thoughtful feedback! Yes...unfortunately I couldn't find my pop filter the day I recorded this but have since located it, so hopefully that will mitigate the technical concerns. Re: emotional range I think I know what you mean, I love characters with that level of complexity! I can play it a bit more sympathetic and less straight authoritative.
