DaemoniK [Season Two]
VoiceOverKrona for Phinnaeus
PHINNAEUS -- AKA The Evil Phin. Supposedly 30, Male. Even though he is a Blessed individual, Phinnaeus is far more wicked than anticipated. Serving the Gatekeeper Jeremiel and aiding in Jeremiel's cruel experiments, Phinnaeus took takes pleasure in playing with these experiments to figure out just how to create a being more perfect than what the Creator had garnered. Phinnaeus, however, has other plans -- finding it more interesting to change a person to become 'better' than he is to start from scratch. It's what causes him to strive for more power all the time. Twisted and deranged, Phinnaeus proves to be one of the most powerful opponents Fin and the others face in the series, even though he is human of all things. At least, they still think he is...
Vocal Range: Higher to Normal Pitched
Vocal Personality: It fluctuates alot due to his very wild mannerisms and behaviors. He'd be calm one moment, but then suddenly start laughing hysterically because he's abused by something. He has a hard time trying to control himself. But then again, control is overrated. He believes that humans can be bettered into something more than they already are, and thus, he allows himself to be experimented on by Jeremiel, which ultimately twisted his demeanor into something more sinister than any demon or angel. He's a very chaotic and unpredictable individual, so be careful when dealing with such a man.
Vocal Notes:
Despite his will to act on his own, he listens only to Jeremiel and his will -- even defying Michael and his commands in most cases because he believes that Jeremiel is true savior of humanity -- especially since Jeremiel is trying to figure out a way how to make the humans better. In the story, he carries out Jeremiel's word, which leads him to become a major antagonist throughout Season Two and Three as the story begins to unfold. Wonder why Phinnaeus became as twisted as he did though...
[thoughtfully] "He looks like he's in one piece, for the most part. Some electrical burns that can be fixed, if you'll let me try." [pause] "Ah... You mean his own healing factor will make the scars vanish?" [He grins.] "Master, I wish for that power as well. Imagine how powerful I will be if I can regenerate that fast! Imagine how useful I will be..."
[amused] "Oh? What do we have here? So small, tiny, and frail. One strike, and you'll shatter to pieces!" [pause] "Well! Nevermind! It seems you're far more resilient than I thought!" [He laughs.] "Which power is keeping you alive? Accelerated healing? Durability? Endurance? I suppose it doesn't matter. Everything will break eventually."
[strained and deranged] "No... No, no, no, no! There's no way that you're stronger than me! None of you are stronger than me because I'm the perfect being! I am the most powerful human in the world... But maybe that's exactly why I'm not as strong as I could be. Perhaps the only way to be stronger than a human is to kill the human side of me -- to ascend!"
How long can I scream for? Not long, but I'mma let you stress this out as much as you like: 'AAAAAAH!' This is so good! This growly tone, yet this kind of mischievous tone -- and THE ROBBIE DAYMOND VOICE AGAIN. AAAAAH! I worry a little bit about over-doing it with this kind of unhinged voice, as many tend to default to this almost Joker-like tone. In some cases, it works, but you have to play around with the lower tone, the pacing, etc, which then adds more to this unhinged nature that Phinnaeus has. I think you did it really well! (But boy howdy, please drink water or tea! D: That sounds like it hurts...!) Like, Phinnaeus has this desire for power, as throughout the story, his Master Jeremiel kind of plans these notions and ideas that he can be the perfect being in this new world: this angel, demon, and human hybrid. It caused Phinnaeus to kind of be warped with this perception of perfection, which is seen throughout his dialogue as he talks about the things that could make him better. Because if Jeremiel is telling him he's perfect, then he has to be, right? This play on the inquisitive side and the deranged side can really cause a dynamic change in his performance, I think, so playing with this idea of 'I must be perfect' and the 'YOU ARE INFERIOR' can really showcase Phinnaeus more in terms of the subtext that he has in his dialogue. Awesome work! :D
Ha ha, thanks again! Surprisingly enough, this is one of my easiest voices to do. It's also one of my favorites because INSANE CHARACTERS ARE SO MUCH FUN. I really like the idea of this character, and with the context you've provided me, I like him even more! Would you like me to re-audition?
Two responses condensed into one! Yes! I'd love to have you reaudition again! See what a little bit of notes and minor directing can do, yeah? C: I look forward to hearing you once again, my friend!
