DaemoniK [Season Two]
VoiceOverKrona for Uriel
URIEL -- Age Unknown, but appears in their early 20's, Gender-Fluid/Not Specified. A character that is known as the Archangel of Visions and the Seeker, the blind Uriel is an archangel blessed with the gift of foresight and divination, making them a valuable asset to the angels as they begin their pursuit of the Redemptors. Despite Uriel's unwillingness to help, Uriel finds themselves persuaded by Michael and his words, which leads into a vicious cycle of false promises and borderline imprisonment. Uriel is a genuine and kind angel, but finds themselves locked away to the point where most of the conflicts between angels and demons remains unknown to them. Perhaps one day, Uriel will be free of Michael's influence and be able to discover just what this conflict actually is.
NO GENDER SPECIFIED. Male or Female can audition for this role!
Vocal Range: Higher to Normal Pitched
Vocal Personality: Soft-spoken and timid, Uriel has a hard time letting people know what's on their mind. They hesitate in what they're about to say, and often second-guess themselves whenever they feel like they're being an inconvenience. Because of this, it often results in Uriel being easy to manipulate, as Uriel often gets worried about being a burden or a problem to others -- especially regarding their blindness. But even so, Uriel is kind and compassionate with an eagerness to help those who need their help, just not quite for the right side just yet.
Vocal Notes:
Uriel starts off on the side of the angels -- mostly against their will. However, as the story progresses, Uriel begins to discover more about the mysterious demons that have been kept from them. They begin to sympathize with the demons. And once they manage to find a way to break free from Michael's influence, they offer very important insight that helps the characters in the story. They're a crucial character as it progresses to Season Three. They also really like cats.
[nervously] "L-Lord Michael! F-Forgive me for being distracted. I was listening to the music you prepared for me." [pause] "Y-Yes! The gifts you have given me have been most wonderful, my lord! I... Allow me to... Offer my assistant to you, as recognition of your generosity..."
"Even if you speak in whispers, you are not disguised from me..." [They pause before they laugh softly.] "Fear not... I am in no position to challenge you -- especially when I do not see a reason to. You two have an interesting future ahead of you, so do not let me stop you from fulfilling your fate."
[defiantly] "I-I cannot! No... I refuse! You have done nothing but abuse the gifts that the Creator bestowed upon me. You have done nothing but bring suffering and misery to everyone you encounter! I-I cannot stand by any longer as you do such cruel things to the world around you. I refuse to!"
LOOK AT THIS SOFT BOI. IT A SOFT BOY VOICE! AAAAAYE! I really enjoyed this audition for Uriel, my friend~ It's normally really easy to express timidness as this very meek and kind of inexpressive type demeanor for a character, which I sometimes see when people attempt to portray Uriel in some instances. But the fact that you managed to bring this emotion to him without escalating it too much and without letting it become to dull? Ooooh man, I'm super happy with that! Thank you! Also, like, the fact that you kinda got this Robbie Daymond vibe with your voice just makes me all giddy too since he's one of my favorite voice actors. slkerjkls I'll scream about that in another feedback for your audition though. Bias, no bias. For Uriel though, they're kind of got this bit of childish personality with him. Gentle and kind, he's got these moments where their humor and naivety really show -- despite them being viewed as an angel of quite high status. Like the 'I do not SEE a reason to' line? That's actually funny bit of humor on their part, considering they very much acknowledge that they are blind. Or when he's talking with Michael at the beginning, it's almost a hint of that naivety as he converses with the King of Angels. The 'Don't hide from me Uriel,' and Uriel kind of counteracting with that kind of 'hide your candy behind your back' demeanor. It's a fun play on showing these moments of innocence, as Uriel is one who has been mostly closed-off from the angel and demon conflict. Beyond that, a fantastic performance! Many thanks for your audition, my friend!
Aww, thanks for the compliments! You're way too kind. ^^ I'm beyond flattered that you think my voice is on par with Robbie Daymond. That dude is a legend! (Prompto is best boi don't @ me). I see what you're saying about Uriel having a bit of humorous side to him. I didn't pick up on that originally. I really appreciate the feedback! Would you like me to re-audition with the tips you gave me?
