I still remember it like it was yesterday, though it was countless moons ago. After he was defeated, not much of out once beautiful home was left. The two brave ones that stood up for us all ruled the land from then on. Soon after becoming queen, the elder one was consumed with a greed for power. She sent her creatures of flame to take down those in the way of her complete reign. The younger one, saddened by our daily struggles, preposed to form a new colony where all could grow strong and happy. Though the elder kyvin forbade it for she felt it would take from her complete reign over the land. I’m turn the younger one jumped from her moonlit window to the smoldering ground below her. She set free her soul to guide her feathers to protect an untouched village. Her soul then created children with her same powers of the moon: kindness, protection, strength, power, fear, and most importantly was the power of the unknown. Nobody knows we are still here, smiling beneath the moonlight while remembering our dear mother. For we will forever be her children of the night.
