DaemoniK [Season Two]
Timothy Rowland II for Other Supporting Characters
Various characters appear throughout the series for minor moments, but this allows for you to take on a role without being swamped down with too much work! Feel free to audition for any of these roles with whatever voices you may see fit. Just because you might not be casted as this character in specific, doesn't mean there won't be another small role to play~
[THE WARDEN] "Alright, you. Get up. Now. If the Enforcer wants to see you, then he's gonna see you." [pause] "I said, get up! Stupid brat... Disobedient and unruly. Disgusting... Get them out of here. The sooner they get to the Enforcer, the better."
[SHANG] "Hey! When I said no more customers, I meant no more customers!" [pause] "Huh? Well look who it is. You look like trash. All of you. Take it something went down while you guys were on... 'Vacation?'"
[NEIGHBOR] "Look, Larry. It's not any of my business, so I'm not going to say anything. You and your kids are a unique bunch, and it's not my place to say it. But please -- by the angel's graces -- stop throwing such wild parties! I need sleep...!"
Remember to be weary of your audio peaks, my friend! These definitely peaked quite a few times throughout the audition, which disrupted the audio flow and... Well, it kinda hurt my ears with how loud it was. c': But many thanks for your audition! It was a good take on the characters, but I can't help but feel like these could be a bit more polished. The stuttering in the dialogue kinda seems as though this was your first read/take for the audition, and you sort of just threw it in there. Be weary of doing that! A deadline for an audition is normally set out much later so people can do their research, develop their voices, and then finally dive into the auditions. Not to mention, editing audio to do multiple takes is also allowed within that time. So be weary, because the quality of your audition is more important than the quantity of auditions you submit! But you have the aggression of the characters here, as they all deal with this similar personality of annoyance and anger. However, listening to these, it felt like it was just one voice for all these characters. Kinda like you just went 'Well, my voice will fit SOMEONE, right?' Which, yeah, it might. But they're still different characters with different voices. It's important to treat each character -- no matter how minor they are -- as their own role to develop. Anger and annoyance isn't just shouting. It can be exasperation, it can be passive aggressiveness, it can be snide remarks -- it can be anything else besides just 'RAAAAH! MAGGOTS!' So take the time to think about how the characters would be and work more to develop each an every role you audition for with their own unique touches! Many thanks for your audition, and keep on working hard!
