     Silica is a kind, caring, and innocent mare. She is the main main character of this series.
     At the start of the series she wakes up bearing no memories. Although her true age is unknown, she is around 20-22 years old. Silica was in a coma for quite some time. She was alive before the demons appeared however she got in a terrible accident which caused her to be in a coma. 10 years before she wakes up, the demon council selects her to be the final tamer. The final tamer meaning she is the last one to become a tamer, because as the years passed more and more horses figured out how to tell if one was a demon, and would avoid them at all costs, thus making sure that no more demon tamers were made. If a horse and a demon fell in love and others found out, that Demon was sentenced to death, making these relationships forbidden.
As the series progresses, she is often confused and conflicted. She wants to find her memories more than anything, while at the same time trying to save the demon race. She becomes frustrated at not knowing who she once was.
