Fox McCloud is a Nintendo video game character and icon who was introduced in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic game Star Fox in 1993. He was originally created by Shigeru Miyamoto. Fox McCloud is the leader of an intergalactic team of pilot heroes, the Star Fox Team whose name has become one of his nicknames, consisting of himself, Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, Slippy Toad, and a few others.
