Sarah is a girl who is from a small farming town who grew up orphaned by the only carpenter at her village. As a little girl she was beaten and treated horribly, leading to her assassinating  her father. She knew she would be executed if found, so she cut all of her hair off, and fled to the army pretending to be a boy named Sam.
