Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Fandub: Pendulum Summoning is Born!
Sciz_Canon for Strong Ishijima
Character Description: Strong Ishijima is an overconfident, barbaric man, who possesses the title as Duel Champion of Miami City. Because of this winning streak and nobody being able to defeat him, Strong develops an overconfident personality, even being the one to start the ridiculing of Yusho Sakaki, who would’ve been his final challenge for the title, had Yusho not mysteriously disappeared before the match. While Strong was aware of Yusho’s dueling methods, he was unprepared for Yuya’s unpredictability and silliness, thus causing a bit of shock to the barbarian.
Voice Description: Strong is a muscular man, well into his late twenties or early thirties. His voice will definitely be a deep one and have a sense of overconfidence.
Strong has managed to pull off a comeback against Yuya during their duel. While he was impressed by Yuya's ability to hold his own, his overconfidence is still evident.
"You put up quite a fight, but this is the end for you now, Sakaki. I draw!"
Yuya tries to escape and grab an Action Card.
"No way! You’re not gonna escape! *Grunts angrily* Go! Battleguard King attack Odd-Eyes Dragon!"
After ending his Battle Phase, Strong begins his next move to end Yuya.
"Next, I’ll be activating the quick-play spell card, Battleguard Magic! *Grunts with effort as he puts the card in the duel disk* This card is great, because I can recover life points equal to half of your Odd-Eyes Dragon’s attack points. *Laughs triumphantly/evilly.* "
Overconfidently, Strong boasts about how he could've ended Yuya this turn, but luck was on Yuya's side long enough for him to last a little longer.
"Battleguard King can only attack twice, so consider yourself lucky, kid! You get to live a little longer! I’ll be setting one card face down...and ending my turn there! It’s your move! Hurry up, and draw your last card! *Mockingly* Or are you gonna surrender, turn your tail, and run away, just like your father?"
This was a pretty great audition, man, and it's really evident that you had fun with this line reading too, haha! Your microphone is crisp, and your acting is nice as well! Unfortunately, I think both versions of your voice doesn't quite match up for Strong, but we'll add you to our list of VA's we'd like to have audition again or work with in the future!
Hi! Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you found the quality decent and the acting good(I'm still very new, this is my first director feedback, actually)! I would be grateful to be added to your list for future roles and will certainly be keeping my eyes peeled for more casting calls from you! Good luck with the project and I hope to work with you soon! - Sciz
Thanks, man! Break a leg on your future auditions!
