Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Fandub: Pendulum Summoning is Born!
LippyLapras for Yusho Sakaki
Character Description: Yusho is a man in his thirties, who duels, in order to put on a great show for the audience and fill everybody’s hearts with smiles. While this seems like a cheesy goal, this in turn inspires Yuya to pursue Entertainment Dueling and manages to inflict a positive impact on not just Yuya but anybody that Yusho met, during the events of the Dimensional War. His dueling methods, while they do involve the most flashy and flamboyant techniques, shouldn’t be underestimated. He was the reigning Duel Champion after all, before the match with Strong came along. Yusho is an extremely positive man, who has the wisdom to back up his philosophy. He is Yuya’s driving force in wanting to pursue his dreams and to never give up, when things get tough.
Voice Description: Yusho is a performer but also a calm man, who has to project his voice for the crowd, while also having a sincerity and peaceful tone in his voice. After all, he is an inspiration to many people.
Yusho begins to give a pep talk to Yuya, who is at a young age and was crying over the loss of his pendulum, which they just managed to find.
"Remember, Yuya, when you feel like crying, laugh. The more you push, the more it’ll come back. It’s impossible to do anything, if you’re frozen in fear. Always have courage and step forward, if you want to win!"
After Dennis loses his duel with Kaito, he begins to think that everyone despises him. Yusho assures him that this isn't the case and that everyone loves him just as much.
"Good grief. You didn't lose at all. They’re applauding both Kaito and you, Dennis. You two were able to make so many people smile. That was an excellent performance! Come with me. There are a lot more people, who need your talents to uplift their spirits!"
Yusho is talking to Dennis about his current duel. The latter doesn't address his audience, which causes Yusho to give the boy a bit of a refresher in Entertainment Dueling.
"What are you doing? It would be very rude if you don’t respond, when your spectators applaud you. This is the reason why you do this, Dennis. You perform for the crowd with everything you got, giving them a spectacular show and bringing smiles to them all! In the end, that's what makes everything worth it."
Oh my goodness. Your voice fits extremely well for Yusho! You nailed the pitch of his voice, his charisma, and his perfomer persona!
Thanks! I'm glad it turned out well!
