Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Fandub: Pendulum Summoning is Born!
Gale for Gongenzaka Noboru
Character Description: Gongenzaka is a fourteen-year-old boy, and he is also one of Yuya’s best friends. He has supported Yuya and defended him from his bullies. Overall he is a loyal companion and will not hesitate to stand up for his friends or what’s right. This is derived from his samurai heritage, which has trained him in an honorable way for how he behaves and his dueling style. Gongenzaka is strict most of the time but has a close attachment to his friends and is willing to sacrifice anything for them. His Steadfast Dueling style has him standing firm against his opponents and not moving at all during the duel. This can be interpreted as him being a shield for his friends or his strong determination, both acting as a impenetrable wall.
Voice Description: Gongenzaka, although he is fourteen, will have a deep voice, with a sense of Japanese in it, if possible. He is supposed to be an overwhelmingly strong force but still young.
Yuya messes around during the training session with Gongenzaka.
"Yuya! Have you no shame?! Idiotic dueling like that will be your downfall in the future! Are you trying to make a fool out of your father?!"
Gongenzaka is in the middle of a duel with an opponent, who ridicules and asks what's the point of NOT moving around during an Action Duel.
"This form of dueling was passed down between my family for years! It represents our resolve, our undying spirit to keep on fighting against the waves that aim to take us down! I will not let you make a mockery of the great name, Noboru!"
Gongenzaka manages to pull off a Synchro Summon, something that nobody managed to see coming. He continues with his turn with a fighting spirit.
"I tune my Level Eight Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei with my Level Two Superheavy Samurai Trumpeter! Almighty deity, hear the call of war! Follow the trail of a thousand blades and arrive in a spiraling sandstorm! I Synchro Summon! Raise your sword to battle! Level Ten! Superheavy Samurai Susanowo!"
Dude, I really loved your energy on this! On the last line too! You're one of the first I've seen to nail the Summoning Chant (even more impressive if you haven't seen the series)! While I like your voice, it did seem kind of grainy/gravely in the throat for this character. We'll still keep this voice in mind, but I'm curious to see what you'd sound like with just kind of a deeper/calmer approach, while also maintaining a strong/strict tone of voice (Sorry if that's confusing. I'm trying my best to describe him). If you don't mind, I would love to hear another audition from you for this character (And also others too)!
