How's it going! My name is Manu (pronounced "Ma-Nuu") and I'm starting up my career for acting/voice acting!
Just to share a little bit about myself and my past, I've always been mesmerized by animation and acting ever since I was little. I mainly grew up around watching anime, video games, cartoons... really anything to keep me distracted lol. Growing up, I never really considered to try acting as an actual career, considering I have only taken a couple acting classes during my elementary years.
It wasn't until 2021 is when a friend of mine started to introduce me to meeting some professional voice actors at a convention from a game that I fell in love with: Persona 5. Being able to meet people like Robbie Daymond, Max Mittleman, Ray Chase, Keith Silverstein and so on brought my motivation of interest to invest around the acting industry. Now as much as my motivation was definitely there, my fear of trying kept stopping me, especially how much I hated the sound of my voice.
As I was going around from convention to convention, meeting a wide range of actors and voice actors, at the year of 2023, there was one convention I stumbled upon that had a voice acting competition being hosted. As much as I feared to even try, I finally decided to leave my comfort zone and try it out for once. Of course, I was put in beginner course since it was my very first time behind the mic lol. Since the competition mainly consisted of voicing over different scenes, all the other higher up talent levels had preset people and lines to voice while beginners are picked to help out singular lines and are picked out by random raffle drawings. I was lucky enough to get picked and actually participate. After that day, my passion for acting/voice acting skyrocketed.
So, I began taking notes from meeting celebrities, took a voice acting class from Joe Zieja (graduated August 6, 2023), tried out improv game shows and eventually saved enough money to create my recording studio.
I tried 2 other websites for voice acting jobs (Voices.com and Voices123.com) and those didn't really work out. I eventually stumbled across this website in hopes that I might be able to not only score jobs but also gain valuable experience and practice.

It's an online, mostly self-taught class by Joe Zieja that covers the ground basics and general knowledge of VA and the VA industry.
None at the moment. I'm mainly looking for field experience before I have an idea of what pricing I want to do
As of now, I'm mainly looking for any project that can help me gain hands-on experience and good practice for voice over. Eventually, I would like to gain enough experience to try out for more high end projects and professional work and maybe make a career out of it.
