Although I did indeed receive quality voice work from Girix, and I do recommend him for it, this recommendation is not about that. Girix can edit sound and create foley (sound effects) tracks also.

I had him do it, not because of his knowledge and experience, because I have knowledge and experience also. I had him because he genuinely doesn't value his time at this stage in his career. Seriously, get him to quote you a price for your project, and just be ready to be blown away at how stupidly cheap that is. This coming from a guy who often hires people in lesser developed countries to take full advantage of the exchange rate.

I can actually do everything he does, but I just don't want to. I am a busy man, and I have more important things to do.

So, want sound effects or editing help? Here's one way to go about it:
1. Spend many hours researching how to use your favourite sound editing program (Adobe Audition is mine), and learn up on how sound itself works.
2. Spend hundreds of hours working in your favourite program
3. Actually do it yourself.

I've already done steps 1 and 2, but I'd still rather get Girix to do it for me instead. If you haven't done steps 1 and 2 yet, just get a quote from Girix and pay whatever he says. Only do it yourself if you genuinely value the learning experience and fun of it all.
