@formasualI've been called a waste of talent, due to my ability to do impressions and accents. I'm not a trained singer, but I get compliments on my speaking voice. My native dialect is 80s era Ozarks, but I can sound like I grew up a couple thousand miles away if I want to.
My accent is default to generation X Ozarks, but I'm not limited by stereotypes. I can enunciate, though I normally choose not to do so. I'm capable of sounding like I teach English at an ivy league school, I just don't gotta in my community. I think my voice is kind of nasally and I think a little bit nerdy, but I get compliments on it from others and have been told that I am good at singing bass.
I've been told that I do the following impressions pretty well:
Jimmy Stewart
Stitch
The undercover investigator/HR lady from Monsters Inc.
Crush (the turtle from "Finding Nemo")
Beavis and Butthead (especially Butthead)
Homer Simpson
Hank Hill
Boomhauer
Dave Mustaine (singing voice)
Dana Carvey doing an impression of George H.W. Bush
Mike Meyers
Joe Cartoon
Napoleon Dynamite
Kip from Napoleon Dynamite
I think I can do a decent impression of the following:
Sean Connery
Christopher Walken
Jim Caviezel
Don't know yet. Haven't decided.
I'm up for just about anything not requiring extreme profanity. I enjoy quoting lines from movies while trying to sound as much like the actor as possible. It just makes me feel more alive and I try to do it really well.
