Live in New York City.
The city that never sleeps.
If you know the right people, you can have non-stop fun.
Pursuing voiceover work is competitive, whether having an agent or submitting yourself to projects.
You have dreams, then you have reality. Dreams-
Make it big, be famous, travel the world, be rich.
Reality- Hustle working all kind of jobs to save up for the right equipment to make your voiceover work standout while paying your bills.
It's not the Voice Over and Acting Genres of booking work that is the headache. It's the A-holes who post jobs and once booked make it difficult to not pay you! Am I private investigator trying to track you down for payment?
Look I am sure the client has paid you so you can pay your talent!
Nowadays, you can pay directly via cash Apps , Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, etc.
Negotiable. Don't Try to lowball me. Rates should be competitive with living standards now in 2025 not rates back in 2000. Additional to clients. Yes people want to work, but just because we now live in a more technological society with mobile cell phones, recording equipment, etc, do not dumb down the rates.
The only thing has changed, depending if you don't have a reputable agent is negotiating your residual payments, Please list the terms. Is it $200 Flat, for 10 minutes of work, $150/hr or more, etc.
Happened to find this website while submitting to a non-related casting.
I joined to this website so that I can work on fun projects such as:
Commercials, Animation, PSA's, Industrials etc.
Software owned: PRESONUS, Hardware: Scarlett Focusrite, Blue Snowball Microphone and Standard Microphone for Voiceover/Podcast work.
Also if client is not satisfied with recording equipment, can record at a professional studio in New York City at $200/hr.
