Project Overview
Hello everybody! This is a casting call for the first pilot episodes of a new Animated Series called Penguins. The purpose of this page is to find Voice Actors for a number of characters that are currently don't a voice actor. We're now looking for Artists and Animators too!
DEADLINES
The deadline for is March 17th, 2021. I ask that you send new files of the lines provided instead of demos from previous projects.
PLOT
Penguins follows the adventures of Gordon Simmons, Popper J. Penguin and Stevie J. Penguin. They all run a private detective agency in BlackTopp City, an island off the coast of Grimm Coastlines and The United States. These three... acquaintances solve crime no matter how strange, big or just flat out weird. But the story gets darker as it progresses.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

- First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too.
- Send each line as a separate file. That way it will be easier in post production and animation.
Lastly, It's important to say that this project is UNPAID. The goal of this project is to gain enough money to pay our VA's and continue the series. Please leave your email in your recording so we can contact you about any changes in production. And more roles may come and go as the series continues. Thank you!

Update for all my followers and VA's
Hello, all! Thought I'd give you all an update on Penguins and what's going on behind the scenes. Since we're fully in production, the script for episode 2 will be released sometime next week and more episodes will follow soon after! I hope we can get at least the voice clips for one full season of the show incase anything goes wrong. Animation is going smoothly, and episode 0 should be up on either Newgrounds or YouTube in a few months. The directors cut will be on Vlare.tv so I'll update you all on when you can watch it. Update on production.
Hey everybody! It's been a while since the last update so I thought I'd give one! Long story short production is going great! Right now I'm working on the storyboard but that's all I can really say about production at the moment. Thank you for reading! -
Production beginning soon!
Hello, whoever may be reading this. I just wanted to say that production on The Neighbor Next Door (Penguins Episode -2) will be beginning this week! All we need is one last VA for popper and production can begin as scheduled! So if you know anybody who wants to get into Voice Acting, or you know a VA already, tell them about this project! -

This is just a quick reminder to all my actors so if you are not an actor please go read a different Email or something. Basically I'm just here to let you all know on Production and what to do with your lines once you've finished them. If you have your lines ready with all specifications, I implore you to either email me a zip folder/file of your lines at [email protected] or send it to me via discord at Baxter#0693 (whatever works best, whatever gets the job done fastest.) I would also like you remind you about the Photos of the yourselves for the end credits, I would rather have you send it through Discord but again; whatever works best, whatever gets the job done fastest. This photo will be drawn over and just be used for the end credits to... well, credit the VA's. I think that should cover it. Thank you for reading!

Popper J. Penguin is one of the main three in the series, rendering him one of the most important assets of the whole series. He has a bubbly but some of deep voice. He loves to go on adventures solving crime and the supernatural all over the city of BlackTopp. Another one of his favorite things to do is sing, play the accordion and do random things with his younger brother (Stevie) all other BlackTopp and mess with people.
(Yelling in a panicked voice) ARE THE GERMANS BACK?!

Gus is a 32 hispanic homosexual who is neighbors with Gordon Simmons. Gus works as a freelance photographer and has a newsblog for all the people who reside in BlackTopp City. He's head over heels in love with Gordon and gets carried away in finding out what he's doing, who he talks to and his investigations as a Private Detective. Even if it puts both their lives in danger Gus will always find a way to intervene.

Professor is the main villain of The PENGUINS Series. He is an evil prodigy hell bent on getting revenge on all of BlackTopp City for denying his ideas to make it a better place for all of its residents. Only Gordon, Popper and Stevie are standing in his way of taking over the city and Surge will stop at nothing to stop them or kill them to take control.
(in a mocking tone) Oh, please! Your little gun can't compare to MY GIANT... KILLER ROBOT... Thing! Yeah, I don't exactly have a name for it yet but it IS deadly!

While he may not be the biggest villain in the series right now, Tom is the most important. He is an extra-terrestrial being from "The Red Eclipse". A dimension where everything and nothing exists simultaneously. It served as Toms prison before he found a rift between this world and the one with BlackTopp City. Tom is a trouble maker. Usually he is very sarcastic, egocentric and self indulgent. As a non-physical being he takes the shape of a black cat with white eyes and white nose with a ghost complex. But as a physical being he is very angry and restless. He takes the form of a human with cat ears and a scientist uniform.
I've been here for hundreds of years... I've never been this close to freedom from this retched place.

The Golfster is a manically deranged lunatic. He uses "Joker Esc" traps, tools and weapons to capture unsuspecting people (in most cases, random people on the street) and hold them hostage for some obscure item. But because of this wacky brand of crime, he can be incredibly dangerous without the proper skills.
