Urban fantasy meets living toons! Hello there, auditioners and creatives of CastingCallClub! I go by Frazz and I am creating an ongoing audio visual drama named "Wyrdos Beyond the Blur"! A series focused on the fictional Diamond City where Toons and Supernatural creatures alike thrive unknown to normal people due to something called 'The Blur'. The series utilizes visual novel-esque presentation and radio drama like audio to tell a story. I am looking for voice actors to take on the role of the main cast and to, first, be apart of a test episode featuring the four main characters. Interested? Please, at least, read everything before Series Setting below. As it is important information for auditioners. Though I encourage you to read through the series setting if you wish to know more about the world you'll be providing a voice in.
Expectations
I welcome all to audition but, at minimum, please, make sure your microphone is clear, free of excessive peaking/clipping and isn't too polluted by background noise. There is only so much clean up I can do and if it's excessive then I will be unable to accept your audition.
I would appreciate multiple takes and I encourage your own interpretations. Be aware the series does have action scenes so actors are expected to be able to exert or shout.
If your audition is accepted I will contact using this website for follow up, be prepared with the best way to contact you (discord is preferred as that's where the cast and crew will gather).
If I find your first audition to be fitting for the role, but I'm still uncertain, I may request a second set of lines while providing a more detailed character primer. Consider this a call-back.
Auditioners are expected to be 18+ as the series will handle mature topics. Note the series is NOT NSFW but it is a series that will, tastefully, tackle risqué topics. (No gore. No racial, cultural or discriminatory real world slurs will be used in the setting. No real world disinformation. No eroticism.)

Payment Details
Know this series' ground work is entirely funded out of my own pocket. Every actor for the project's starting rate will be $10 per 100 words. All payments will be conducted exclusively through Paypal. If you are cast for the part and expect to be paid(and you should!), please be ready to receive payments through Paypal.
The first thing recorded for those cast will be a mini-test episode with a script that is approximately 200-400 words for each role. $40 will be paid to each actor for the test episode. That is the flat rate listed below. Once the series begins, you can expect me to contact you with future scripts and lines paid at the starting rate ($10 per 100 Words). These may be full episodes, mini episodes, one offs or otherwise. All work will be paid and credited. I do not expect you to work unpaid, work deserves compensation always.
Series Plans
After the test episode, full production will begin. There will then be auditions for the rest of the cast of the first episode. Wyrdos Beyond The Blur is intended to be an ongoing web series.
The project cast and crew will meet up and organize in the Wyrdos Beyond The Blur Discord server, where everyone will be kept up to date. I'd like to live direct the voice cast over discord but I know due to schedules this may not be possible.
Series Setting
Wyrdos Beyond the Blur is a series set in the fictional Diamond City. Over the entirety of the world's history a mystical force called 'The Wyrd' caused the supernatural to manifest into the world, with Diamond City as the most recent hotspot. Calling themselves 'Wyrdos', these supernatural beings formed their own societies that are hidden by 'The Blur' that conceals the Wyrd from ordinary people's eyes.
Everything was in balance with the Wyrdos of the supernatural staying hidden in plain sight. In Diamond City two organizations took hold; 'The Library' (a conglomeration of Wyrdos who self-govern) and the 'Housing Agency' (a government agency dedicated to manage the Wyrd and protect ordinary folk). These two share the common goal of maintaining The Blur.
It all stabilized and became calm... Until a random individual turned into a freaking cartoon ocelot and caused a 12 car pile up! Panic ensued as a new type of Wyrd started to emerge: 'Toons'. Toons are those that look like they're drawn (literally) into our world, act/appear exaggerated and cartoonish and seem to play by different rules then the supernatural. This has thrown the community into a frenzy trying to preserve The Blur.
Within all of this chaos formed the Saito Detective Agency, lead by Aiko Saito. The Saito Detective Agency is a neutral organization making sure to help those in need within the Wyrdo community. They handle the cases before The Library or Housing Agency get involved, act as a neutral party to make sure neither organization steps on each other's toes and handle Ordie cases where they suspect there to be Wyrd involvement.
