Hey there, I'm Sakasa! Born and raised in Canada, specifically British Columbia. While my Canadian accent might sneak in occasionally, I do my best to keep it in check. I graduated from acting school in 2015 and explored improvisation until 2019. With COVID restrictions, I had to take a break from acting, but now I'm back! Currently, I'm lending my voice to abridged series online and venturing into stand-up comedy in 2024. My default voice is soft, somewhat high pitched but can make it deeper, or stronger depending on the mood or if the role requires me to do so. I can sing and voice act in three languages; English, Filipino, and Japanese, however, my comprehension of Japanese is limited and still a work in progress. I'm a performance poet, a musician, a storyteller, an events host, an accidental voice actor, Artistic Director for Spoken Word at PBH’s Free Fringe, and an enormous geek. During weekdays, I persuade people to make lists and say no to shiny things. For every role, there is a different hat, and a spreadsheet to match. My first full poetry collection, Spectral, came out with Burning Eye in March 2022, and I describe it as “a kind of poetry concept album, with illustrations”.
