Books have always been an escape and love for me. While songs become the way to live in this world of symphony. As years passed, this passion of being an active reader, and a dreamy listener, bloomed into writing upon a page, hoping, and dreaming of the storytellers' ways. Now, having a published book, I use my art in many ways. From a singer's notes, to an actor's script, to ink on paper, to lead on canvas. I am from a small Oklahoma town, with Okie blood coursing through my veins. The dark Verdigris River was my cool hand on rough days and the forest became my Narnia and Shire, transporting me into a world of fantasy. Being an aunt of eight gave me life experiences that a child, barely sixteen, could not have otherwise known. Yet now, at twenty-seven, I have learned to give opportunities that no one dared to give me. Music is my first love while dancing and animals are my second. Nature was and is my cradle, and the dance floor my dream escape. Since there are as many plants as there are languages, I came to love the Japanese language as I love the honeysuckles that grow near my bedside. Songs of all forms have surrounded my life in more ways than one, and I have yet to scratch the surface of this song.
