This series is a story about a girl named Amberly who is completely powerless and lives in a town where there are people with unique species and magical abilities. She soon realizes that she is targeted and must stay hidden when dangerous creatures known as shadows, hunt down Amberly and her friends. Amberly also realizes that these creatures can cause others to turn aggressive and even deadly. When her friends start to get possessed by these species, Amberly must overcome whoever is behind the shadows, as well as whoever is behind her father's disappearance.
