Adelaide is the single mother of Otis and his two siblings. She is also a middle schooler teacher. She is sweet, loving, elegant, and yet powerful, as she has an ability that brings her recognition to those who know of it. However, after a terrible tragedy, her mind slowly starts to consume her.
[speaking to the class] So picture the globe like a big ball [drawing on the board] Our hemisphere has three domains, all with their own special qualities. We live [points] here!
[to Otis] Just because you are my son, that doesn't mean I'm going to automatically pass you (compassionate) Come on, what's wrong?
[breaking down] (Crying) What happened? Why did this happen? Where are they? Where is *he*?
