Griffin is the other lead character with struggles of his own. Losing the throne to his younger brother and becoming desperate as time moves towards an impending catastrophe, he is forced into connecting with Otis. He is overjoyed that he found someone compatible with him. He will also experience heavy character development as he initially starts out colder and detached, yet over time becomes more filled with emotion and grows close with those he meets, such as Otis. He starts to become like a father figure and dear friend to Otis, of sorts. Yet he is doing Otis a disservice by becoming so.
We do not want this to be overacted, so keep that in mind!

[to Otis] (old and wise, powerful, somewhat overbearing and unreachable) Some do not listen to reason. (beat) Do you really think it will get you anywhere? Do you think we'll live to see the results you so long for? (dark) People squirm for resolution, but don't seem to take the necessary actions.
[mocking Otis] (humorously, light-hearted) Oh you think you can beat me? I have four legs, you have two. Plus, your power is mine, kiddo.
(disgruntled) Who you calling old? Spirits don't age your way.
[facing off against Constantine, who is overpowering him entirely] (desperate, hopeful) They'll find a way... collectively, they'll mend their wrongs, they'll do what's right!
(overwhelmed by emotion, determination) They are already improving!
