Sounds Like: I don’t have a particular frame of reference, as this role is gender neutral. But whoever plays this character must have clear diction and be moderately expressive.
Background: The Narrator is the embodiment of all the characters (s)he reads about. If a character is angry, the Narrator is angry. If a character is tired, the Narrator is tired. The Narrator also reads out fight scenes as if they were happening in real time, as if (s)he is a sports announcer.

(The episode opens up with the Narrator describing a new but important character's morning routine. S/he says this line as if they dreading the morning with the character.) The alarm noise always bothered Koaru. She slowly picked up her hand to turn it off. It was six thirty. Koaru got out of bed and had a quick shower.
(calm, content) She usually had quiet showers, no music, no singing. She got out after five minutes and brushed her teeth. After her morning hygiene was taken care of, she had her breakfast. Everyday she would have black tea, toast, and scrambled eggs. She ate in silence. Her parents were almost never home. They are usually home four hours a week due to business trips and work. She didn't care, she liked the silence.
(Two of the main characters are assigned to run a mile. The Narrator is pumped and motivated as they say their next line) Keira ran faster.
(as if the Narrator is exhausted after running) After five minutes, Keira was way behind her class.
<i> (exhausted but with a hint of suspicion) </i> She stopped at a bush, she felt something wrong. Keira walked closer to the bush. The bush was fine, but she still sensed something. It was coming from the tree nearby.
<i> (The MCs find some of their friends uncontias stuck to a demonic tree woman as if they were Christmas ornaments, the Narrator is horrified) </i> Then she saw it. Satomi and a few students were stuck to the tree. They were groaning.
(A battle has taken place, the Narrator reads this line as if the fight was happening in real-time, very sports announcer like) The trunk grew vines that went toward the two girls. (beat, remains the same tone) They successfully dodged.
Unfortunately, this isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Though thank you for your interest.
