About QuestionQuest117

Hello! I am QuestionQuest117, or QQ for short. Voice acting is not my primary interest of career in life, but I have been told I have the voice for it, and I have an interest in it, so I am here!

I've done a lot of narrations in my spare time, but I also am a Dungeon Master for my own D&D campaign and am currently a player in two other campaigns, so I have plenty of experience doing the voices of characters and putting emotion into one's voice. I also have plenty of experience singing, having sung recreationally plenty of times while also being a member of a church choir for several years, having done occasional solos.

While I don't have a demo reel (yet), my voice is of a baritone pitch, with a range covering Tenor and most of Bass. I can't do falsetto for the life of me (most days), so please don't request me to do so, or at least don't expect anything amazing from it. Voices similar to mine would be Frank Sinatra, Takahata 101, and Halo Multiplayer Kill Announcer, although I can do some different kinds of voices outside of that area. If you need a generic fantasy dwarf voice, southern accent, Gollum/Smeagol, or Darth Sidious, I got you covered. I am currently learning German and Korean, and while I am far from fluent in either yet, I have been told I have a good German accent in German. If my role calls for some German lines, I may be able to say them well.

I also write short stories of mine occasionally, but don't think I would have the skill to become a professional writer or so (plus I don't quite feel like it). I play video games (Strategy, FPS, VR, and more), and I am a major techie, having messed around with all kinds of software and hardware recreationally.

While I am mostly seeking to do voice acting to get my voice out there and make some money on the side, my voice acting dream is to voice a character that I can be remembered for, and who fits me at least somewhat. The day where someone will refer to me by a past character name will be a lovely day.

My setup isn't anything studio grade in terms of environment, but I am rocking an AKG P220 XLR Condenser mic running through a PreSonus Studio 24c to be read as USB by my computer. Noise shouldn't be an issue in my recordings (provided my family isn't being noisy) and any noise picked up should be easily fixable in post. If noise is however an issue, I can move my setup to my closet where there is more sound dampening.
