[CLOSED] "Welcome to Dubspace": An OMORI Fandub - FRIENDS & FOES CASTING CALL

Project Overview

🔪 What is "Welcome to Dubspace"? 🔪

A passion-project fandub of the critically acclaimed indie video game, OMORI, brought to you by a team of people who just really love OMORI, really love to voice-act, and really want to bring this incredible story with its memorable cast of characters to life! We'll be limiting most gameplay elements in our videos to make the series more "cinematic," and to encourage people to play the game themselves if they want to experience all of the extra content that can't make it into the series!

It's also important to note that we're having lots of fun with this fandub, too, so there may be moments of additional, custom dialogue added that are not originally found in the game! (You may see an example or two of some of those lines in these auditions themselves...)

💡 What are we looking for? 💡

As mentioned in our Casting Call video, we're looking for people to join our cast to voice many of the diverse FRIENDS & FOES the main characters will encounter throughout OMORI's story. Most of these available roles are Supporting (HS Bosses, Antagonists, Friends) or Minor (Recurring NPCs). Any role not seen here has either alread been casted, or is a one-liner extra role that will be divided up among the cast once we have our team.

Please note that there is a GIGANTIC PLETHORA of characters in OMORI spread across two main locations of the game: HEADSPACE and FARAWAY TOWN. To condense our list, nearly all available roles to audition for have more than one role included so that voice actors can be present throughout the series. Some of these connections/double-roles are meaningful and have canon, in-game reasons that they are counterparts across locations. Some of them... don't and are just for fun.

💭 Is there payment for this? 💭

Unfortunately not. As stated before, this is a passion-project, meaning that even us directors are just doing this for fun (and also because we really do truly love and believe in OMORI's story). We also love to voice-act and would love to go on to do bigger and better things one day, so our goal is to also help each other learn and grow in a personal capacity, giving lots of valuable opportunities for practice and feedback so we can all hone our vocal talents!

🎹 Requirements 🎹

  • We strongly encourage at minimum, recording with a USB mic. While we're by no means professionals (yet), we would like clarity and quality as much as possible. If your audition does not show your best sound treatment, there is a big possibility it will not be considered. Careful sound treatment paired with a clear phone mic could work, but we strongly encourage recording with at least USB mic or better, should you have one. Limit background noises as much as possible.

  • Do not SLATE your audition. (In other words, do not state your name in front of your reads.)

  • If you would like to record more than one take, please record them in AABBCC format, not ABCABC. Please do not have more than two takes in your audition.

  • DO NOT ADD VOICE EFFECTS TO YOUR AUDITION SUCH AS REVERB, ECHO, OR PITCH ALTERATION. General touch-ups for noise removal and clarity is fine and welcome, but ultimately, we want to hear YOUR voices for these characters and YOUR voice-acting skills!

  • Discord will be our primary method of communication. Because of this, please include your Discord handle in the description box of your audition.

  • OMORI deals with very triggering topics. Ports of the game have been rated "M" for a reason. Because of this, we are requiring that all cast members be at least 16+ years old. Thank you!

  • You more than welcome to audition for as many characters as you would like!

If you have any questions, please either email us or message any one of the directors here through CCC!

"Welcome to Dubspace," an OMORI Fandub's FRIENDS & FOES Casting Call IS NOW CLOSED as of August 10th at 11:59 PM CST!

🧺 FINAL UPDATE 🧺
[ 7/11/2022 ]

In our first 24 hours of our casting call being opened, we've had nearly 150 auditions sent in already! That's incredible! The "Welcome to Dubspace" team is so grateful and honored to have so much excitement for this project. Please be rest assured you still have plenty of time to get auditions in; no decision will be made until after we've closed our casting call and had time to sit through and carefully review every audition!

A couple of notes and reminders going forward based upon the questions we've received:

1. Please consider any noted accents only as suggestions. They are not a necessary requirement to audition for a character and you will not be automatically disqualified for not auditioning with a suggested accent. We look forward to being wowed with your voice-acting skills!
2. Please don't forget to put your Discord tag in the description box of your audition! If you have already submitted an audition and forgot, don't fret! You can always reply or comment on your audition with your Discord tag.

Thank you all again, and good luck!

[ 7/21/2022 ]

It's been nearly 10 days since we've opened our casting call, and by now, we have almost 400 auditions! That's incredible! Thank you to everyone who's auditioned so far.

NOTE: We ask that those individuals who have auditioned with special voice-alterating effects to please re-submit an audition without those treatments. A rule has been added to our requirements to reflect this.

Thank you all again, and please let us know if you have any questions!

[ 8/5/2022 ]

We are in the last week of our casting call and we have 750 auditions! That's PHENOMENAL!

A quick update regarding the "new" closing date of our casting call: because CCC's site is in a different time zone than our director team is, we noticed that the countdown on the site wasn't accurate. Please know that while the "day" on CCC has been bumped back to August 11, this does not mean there is an extra day to audition or that the casting call has been extended. Our casting call will still close on August 10, @ 11:59 PM CST. After that point, we will no longer be considering new auditions. The purpose of changing that final day is for the countdown on the CCC page to more closely reflect when we are actually closing our casting call.

Thank you and again, please reach out to me or any of the other four directors on my team if you have any questions!

[ 8/11/22 ]

And that's a WRAP! After an incredible month, our "Friends & Foes Casting Call" is finally brought to a close. And now... brings the most difficult part: the decision-making. I cannot stress enough how HARD this is going to be. Not only did we get an AMAZING amount of auditions (over 1.2k???) we also had SO MANY different and talented people try out for this project. Trying to decide roles is going to be like splitting hairs! Everyone who auditioned should really, really, REALLY be proud of yourselves for how good you've done because you've made our job so, SO difficult... and that's an extremely, EXTREMELY good thing! We're so honored and grateful to you all!

Needless to say, over 1.2k auditions is a lot of auditions, so it's going to take some time to review them. At the moment, we're planning to reach out to our decided potential cast members here on CCC on August 27th, giving us a little over two weeks to make our decisions. This is a tentative date, meaning it could change if life happens and we need more time to make sure we're making the best decisions we can. In the unlikely event the day we're planning on reaching out to potential cast members changes, we will update this casting call. Otherwise, once all cast members accept their offered roles, we will start to reveal our cast list.

Thank you again for all your guys' hard work! Now, it's our turn... see you in a few weeks!

[ 8/14/22 ]

As many of you may have already noticed, "Welcome to Dubspace" has opened a second casting call: our "SWEET & SOUR" casting call! The primary purpose of this was because we needed to recast our SWEETHEART... the second was because we noticed as we were going through auditions for this casting call that we would like to give more time for people to audition for a handful of particular roles. Please note that in some cases, this is NOT because we did not like ANY voices for that role... most often, the ones that we liked best we already preferred in other roles that they also auditioned for.

That being said, we invite anyone who DID audition for the handful of roles that are reappearing on our "SWEET & SOUR" Casting Call to audition again, if you really would like to voice for those characters! We've provided additional directors' notes that could help strengthen your re-audition. In addition to this, for those who have already auditioned for the 8 roles reappearing on the second casting call, we'd like to offer: if you want to receive specific feedback on your first audition that you can use to make your second audition the best it can be, you are more than welcome to reach out through DM's here on CCC to any of us four directors, myself included! We are happy to give you personal feedback on the audition we received here so that you can put your best foot forward on your second attempt, should you like to give it a try!

(Please know this is a unique offer to those who would like to audition again for the 8 roles being reopened on our second casting call, and not an offer we can promise to fulfill for all 1,267 auditions we received! We thank you for your patience and understanding.)

And thank you all again so much for SUCH a wonderful and amazing casting call here! Don't forget to check your CCC inboxes on the 27th of August! See you then.

[ 8/28/22 ]

ALL CAST MESSAGES HAVE BEEN SENT ON CCC! Please check your inbox here on CCC to see if you've been offered a role!

Thank you AGAIN to everyone who auditioned! We can't stress enough how many amazing auditions we received and how difficult these decisions were... over the past two and a half weeks, the directors have spent HOURS discussing and reviewing and carefully making our selections. You are all super talented and should be proud of the work you did!

As potential cast members accept their roles, we'll be marking those roles as "closed" here on our Casting Call! You may notice that not all of the roles have been "closed" yet--that simply means we haven't heard back from the person we've reached out to! We've set a deadline for a response (September 3rd), but if for whatever reason we don't hear back from that person by then (or they do not wish to accept that role) then we will be reaching out to our specially selected understudies! Most likely, if any of these messages need to be sent, they will be sent on September 4th.

Thank you again for all of your time and effort in auditioning here! We're so grateful for everyone's support, and we're excited to get production underway!

It's been nearly 10 days since we've opened our casting call, and by now, we have almost 400 auditions! That's incredible! Thank you to everyone who's auditioned so far. We cannot state enough how much and how often we as a director team have just been outright grinning while listening to these. NOTE: There have been a few auditions submitted so far that have had voice effects added to them. We ask that those individuals who have auditioned with special voice-alterating effects to please re-submit an audition without those treatments. A rule has been added to our requirements to reflect this. The heart of the matter is: we would like to hear YOUR voice acting skills as clearly as possible. Specialized voice effects such as heavy reverb or echo or pitch alteration can impede our determination of how well you can truly ACT. If there are voice effects we wish to use for a character in the final product, those will be addressed in post and not throughout the auditioning process. Beginning this weekend, I'll also be going through and responding to some individuals who haven't included discord tags in their auditions and/or have auditioned with a notable voice effect. If you get a comment, don't fret! You can always add a discord tag to a response to your audition, or resubmit an audition if you need to! Thank you all again, and please let us know if you have any questions!

CAPTAIN SPACEBOY / SPACE (EX-)BOYFRIEND

Role assigned to: CarlitoLopezVO

CAPTAIN SPACEBOY, also known as SPACE (EX-)BOYFRIEND, is a major boss character in OMORI. He is the leader of the SPACE PIRATES that traverse throughout the galaxies and a major antagonist in the game. He possesses a green-colored space gun that shoots out laser beams and is used to fight against any opponent he encounters.

As the leader of the SPACE PIRATES, CAPT. SPACEBOY is an adventurous man who desires to explore the galaxies and seeks a greater purpose in his life. He is also shown to be deeply sensitive towards those he cares about. CAPT. SPACEBOY notably appears to be a talented musician as he created his own SPECIAL MIXTAPE out of his love for SWEETHEART. However, CAPT. SPACEBOY does possess a rather emotional persona whenever he suffers under his breakup with SWEETHEART or her overbearing personality. This transforms him into the vengeful SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND, who only comes out only if SPACEBOY is angry. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

NOTE: CAPTAIN SPACEBOY's creator, Jami Lynne, has confirmed that he is trans. As such, we HIGHLY ENCOURAGE NON-BINARY or TRANSGENDER MEN to audition for this role. As SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND is an alter-ego of CAPTAIN SPACEBOY, it is expected that you vary your voice between the lines that you read for CAPTAIN SPACEBOY and the lines that you read for SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND.

  • [cough, cough] Oh... SWEETHEART... My perfect goddess… [cough] My sweet... jelly-filled... donut…

  • [as SPACE EX-BOYFRIEND; villainous and angry] Foolish children! I must thank you for bringing me out of that pathetic state. I grew tired of lying in bed, pretending to be sick. Like I always say... FEELINGS ARE FOR LOSERS!!

  • [as CAPTAIN SPACEBOY; gentle and noble] Resting in bed may not fix a broken heart, but eating SNO-CONES with friends might help!

Role assigned to: Troy David

Believe it or not, there are lyrics to the song Captain Spaceboy wrote for Sweetheart! Before the mixtape was in OMORI, it was a song by Space Boyfriend called "Bug Spray." Click here to listen to the original for your audition.

Please note it is not necessary to audition for both CAPTAIN SPACEBOY and his singing voice unless you want to! You're more than welcome to audition for one or both of these roles; it's entirely possible we may cast the same person for both roles. We may not. But do not think you HAVE to sing in order to audition for CAPTAIN SPACEBOY.

  • I want nothing more than to be with you

And protect you from the mutant bugs that creep you out!

Late at night, we'll walk together down the avenue (Yeah we will!)

I'll save you from the creepy things of the night!

POLLY

Role assigned to: SK-VA

POLLY is a character in OMORI. As BASIL's parents are often absent from the house, they hired her to act as a caretaker for him and his grandmother. As a caregiver, POLLY is shown to be kind and nurturing. She regularly concerns herself over the well-being of both BASIL and BASIL'S GRANDMA. Though polite and forgiving, she worries that others consider her taste in food plain and often makes more than just a few people can eat. [part of the description pulled from OMORI Wiki]

A cross between being motherly and timid is ideal for Polly. She has a lot of self-esteem issues, but has an infinitely big heart.

  • [apologetic] Sorry about the wait... Dinner is taking longer than I thought. Would any of you boys like to help?

  • [positive] Hehe... You and your brother seem close. That's good... Family is important!

  • [panicked] BASIL! What happened? Is he okay?

Role assigned to: Maganda Marie

The mother of SUNNY and MARI, SUNNY'S MOM frequently leaves voicemails for her son, asking how SUNNY is doing and how his packing is going. Though never seen in person, it can be inferred that she cares a lot about her son, as she leaves sticky notes around the house to remind him to take care of himself and calls him regularly to check up on him. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

MOM should sound like... well... a mom. But her situation is complicated and her genuine love for her son is complicated, too. It would be best if her words don't always match her tone of delivery. For example, consider the effect of saying "sorry" without sounding genuinely sorry.

  • Also, sorry! MOMMY messed up! I forgot to tell the electric company that we need a few extra days before we're ready to move, so the lights might cut out sometime tonight.

  • [through tears; devestated] Please be a good boy, SUNNY... Please be... a good boy...

  • If you leave the house, remember to look both ways before crossing the street! Love you, hugs and kisses.

KEL AND HERO'S MOM

Role assigned to: Skylar Artaggat

KEL AND HERO'S MOM is an NPC and character in OMORI. She wears a pale green shirt and blue skirt. She is shown to be a caring mother who values the time spent with her family and her sons, but can tend to be a bit self-centered and short-sighted, sometimes overreacting to situations. She is shown to be dramatic and flighty. But ultimately, despite all of this, she cares very deeply about the people around her and does not hesitate to jump at the opportunity to provide for them.

KEL AND HERO'S MOM exhibits every range of emotion under the sun, so be prepared to be dramatic. Medium to medium-low pitch would work great. A motherly voice that can change emotion at a moment's notice.

  • [scolding] KEL! HERO! Where have you two been? It's so late... I've been worried sick!

  • Hmph! I'll have you know... I spent all week preparing the chicken roast for tonight's dinner... And... [sniffs] It's gotten cold...

  • [sighs] Okay. Just make sure to be home by dinner! I don't want a repeat of last year!

KEL AND HERO'S DAD is a character in OMORI. He appears to be more laid-back and less strict than his wife, often able to get a laugh out of things that may have irritated others. He has lots of typical "dad" behaviors, showing a fondness for grilling and spending time with his family. He is shown to care deeply about his family and the people around him. [description pulled from OMORI Wiki]

A bit of a gruff but warm voice for KEL AND HERO'S DAD would be ideal. Low to medium-low pitch. Hearty but kind. You can probably tell in his voice he smiles and has smiled and will smile lots more.

  • [running into KEL] KEL! Son, is that you? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be doing errands for your mom?

  • [mentally and emotionally kicking himself]  Aww, doggarnit! KEL, your old man is such a fool! We're at a beautiful picnic, but I forgot the most important ingredient... MEAT!

  • Remember to visit every now and then...  I know KEL is going to be lonely without you! [hearty laugh] GAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

KIM is a character and enemy in OMORI. She is one of the six members of THE HOOLIGANS, and the younger sister of VANCE. KIM is a short teenage girl with brown hair swept to the side, the other side of her head being shaved. She appears to have amber colored eyes with light red square glasses. KIM is shown to be a tomboy at heart, often engaging in rowdy antics and encouraging her friends to go along with her plans. She often expresses herself in a rather arrogant manner. Despite her unruly disposition, she is shown to be capable of showing kindness towards those she is close to. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

A raspy, medium to medium-high teenage voice would be great for KIM. When BERLY, try to sound younger by a handful of years.

  • Ewwwwwww... It's a nerd! [grumbles for a bit, then says] Leave us alone! We got no business with you today!

  • [worried; concerned] Oh, shoot... AUBREY, are you okay? You're... You're hurt...

  • [as "BERLY"; cheerily/proudly] From this day forth... I hereby declare you a bonafide HEADBUTTER. Here, take this certificate. Show your friends. I'm sure they'll be proud!

VANCE is a character and enemy in OMORI. He is one of the six members of THE HOOLIGANS and the older brother of KIM. VANCE is a teenage boy who wears a red flannel over a black t-shirt. There is a bunch of candy in his flannel pocket, and a lollipop in his mouth. VANCE is shown to be rather gruff and blunt at times when dealing with new people. He often tends to support his sister KIM in anything she plans to do, mostly to make sure she feels happy. Despite their different demeanors, VANCE and KIM both share a love for candy, to the point of repeatedly attempting to shoplift the candy store to get their fix. Taffy in particular is one of their favorites. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

A rough, deep, and thick voice for VANCE is ideal. This guy loves his candy! For VAN, age him down by a handful of years.

  • She's a lot of talk, but she's got a big heart. And me? I got some big muscles.

  • [worried; hungry] I don't know, KIM. We haven't had CANDY for an entire week... and there's a whole bag right in front of us. We don't even have to pay for it! [quietly] Can you at least ask if he has any taffy in there?

  • [as "VAN"] Turns out... There's not many places to hide here for a guy my size...

MIKHAEL, also known as THE MAVERICK, is a character and enemy in OMORI. He is one of the six members of THE HOOLIGANS. MIKHAEL is a teenage boy who wears a blond wig over his real, darker hair. This wig also deliberately covers his eyes. MIKHAEL tends to demonstrate an exaggerated personality during most of his encounters, often making flashy poses and using dramatic speech patterns in ordinary conversation. He also tends to be a bit of a showoff. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Please note the English accent. MIKHAEL/THE MAVERICK should sound like that one annoying, self-absorbed kid you know who thinks he's The Shit. For MIKAL, age him down by a handful of years.

  • [haughty; bragging] And then I told him... It's not MAVERICK. It's THE MAVERICK!

  • [desperately] L-Ladies! Please, come back! I have more money!

  • [as "MIKAL"; start with a big sigh] I was dreaming that I was on a private beach with servants fanning me with palm tree leaves on every side...

ANGEL is a character and enemy in OMORI. He is one of the six members of THE HOOLIGANS, and the younger brother to ARTIST. ANGEL is a young boy with brown hair styled into a pompadour hairstyle, bearing a yellow hairpin on the left side of his head. ANGEL is shown to be very energetic and easy to get into fights. Having a passion for picking fights with other people, ANGEL has no fear when it comes to confronting those that are stronger than him. He also has an interest in collecting new cards and games to entertain himself. ANGEL heavily respects THE MAVERICK, looking up to him to the point of trying to mimic some of his moves occasionally. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Boy-ish and dramatic. Medium to medium-high pitch. Think anime. He already should sound pretty young, but for NEB try to age him younger a little bit.

  • You seek AUBREY, do you? Interesting! I will tell you what I know... but first, you must best me in battle!

  • [caught off-guard] H-huh!? W-W-W-What!? You can't do that! That's cheating!

CHARLENE is a teenage girl standing at an above-average height compared to the other teenagers in FARAWAY. She notably has shaggy brown hair with multiple bangs covering her eyes. Unlike her friends, CHARLENE is shown to be silent and rather aloof. She doesn't appear to have that much to say in conversations, usually indicating her shyness around others. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Shy and low would be best for CHARLIE. Timid and quiet. For SHARLEEN try to age her down or soften her by a handful of years.

BOSS is a character and the first boss in OMORI. He is FOREST PLAYGROUND's local bully who often harasses others for his own amusement. BOSS appears to be a giant purple rhinoceros figure with two green horns on the front of his face, pointing upwards. Compared to the other playground residents, BOSS towers above most of them in size. Known as the FOREST PLAYGROUND's resident bully, BOSS appears to enjoy harassing others for his own amusement. He also is shown to be rather rough towards those he interacts with. Despite his negative traits, he is mostly shown to be a caring individual despite being known as a local bully for the playground residents. [desciption pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Doesn't necessarily have to be low-pitched. High-pitched and nasally works, too; we're open to different interpretations of this playground bully.

PLUTO is a character and optional enemy in OMORI. He serves as a transportation system that OMORI and friends can use to travel to various worlds in HEADSPACE. He appears to be a "giant statue" of rock representing the real-life planet Pluto but with buff arms and legs. He's described as intimidating.

PLUTO is charismatic and often loud, but also can display a gentle passionate side when discussing his dreams and aspirations. He takes great gratification when showing off his strength, indicated by his favorite tagline: “When I flex! I feel my best!” PLUTO is defined by his unbreakable determination, characterized by a innate desire for freedom and an ability to forge his own path in life, which is why he escapes CAPT. SPACEBOY's planetarium. However, he also shows a desire to impress and help others, leading him into a contract with MR. JAWSUM, and becomes despondent when he proves unable to carry out his duty. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Consider a deep, boisterous voice. When he's sentimental and emotional, don't be afraid to be silly. Release your inner Shakespearean. Or, even better, give us your best All-Might (My Hero Academia) impression. Low, mighty pitch.

  • WHEN I FLEX, I FEEL MY BEST!!

    GWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

  • [worried] Oh, no... My gigantic, well-defined arms and legs are giving out. I can't let it end like this. I need to find a hiding place!

SNALEY is a recurring character and NPC in OMORI. Whenever he appears, SNALEY often gets killed or injured by a series of unfortunate events that constantly happen to him. SNALEY appears to be a sentient marshmallow creature with a pair of small white legs. Occasionally oblivious at times, he often crosses paths with OMORI and friends, which leads to his unexpected series of deaths over and over again. Despite this, SNALEY appears to admire OMORI's strength and desires to become strong just like him. [description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

Consider a silly "character" voice for SNALEY. If you don't know where to start, try a nasally tone. Show off your comedic timing! Medium to high pitch.

DAPHNE is a character in OMORI. She is the twin sister of BOWEN (also known as OTHER TWIN), and is MIKHAEL's sister. Her family runs the bakery inside OTHERMART and has been doing so for four generations. DAPHNE has dark skin and hair, much like her family members. She wears a white shirt and brown skirt, though it appears to be a uniform her family wears in their bakery. Despite her nonchalant appearance, she is quite talkative unlike her twin brother BOWEN. She is calm and gets bored easily, constantly looking for something to do when she's not working at the Bakery. She spends most of her time with BOWEN. [description pulled from OMORI Wiki]

Note the English accent. Both DAPHNE and DOUGHIE should sound monotone, but not un-emotive. A little creepy/unsettling is good. Unlike a lot of other counterpart characters, these two do not need a notable difference between their voices.

  • [pranking] BOO!! Haha! We got you good, didn't we!? [realization strikes] Hey, wait a second... You're not our darling little brother...

He seen wearing a white button up with taupe coloured pants, which appears to just be his uniform when working at the bakery. MOLLY is a character and NPC in OMORI. She is the oldest of the three SLIME GIRLS residing within HUMPHREY. Her appearance is derived from that of an octopus. MOLLY is the devious and cunning oldest SLIME SISTER, appearing somewhat passive aggressive and sometimes flirtatious. She often addresses people as "darling" and has a laugh that sounds like "fufufu." As a scientist, MOLLY seems to prefer working with metal. She describes herself as a busy person whose work takes patience and appears skilled. She is actually extraordinarily lazy and prefers computer sciences and technology as her medium due to the minimal amount of movement required to create her experiments. And if something goes wrong, it's someone or something else's fault instead of her own. [description pulled from OMORI Wiki]

The biggest thing for MOLLY isn't voice type but line delivery. She's a prankster at heart, so be theatrical. "Tee-hee" energy.

NOTE: Whoever will be voicing MOLLY will also be voicing CRIS (BLUE-HAIRED GIRL). CRIS will not need a particularly different voice type than MOLLY; just slightly different line delivery. She has a milder, younger personality. It is not necessary to audition specifically for CRIS, just know there is another role attached to this one.

Despite being the youngest of the slime sisters, MEDUSA also appears to be the most mature and practical. However, she does not like people with bad manners and feels they should be taught a lesson. She often addresses people as "doll". [description pulled from OMORI Wiki]

She is usually the calmest and most mature of the three SLIME GIRL sisters; this should come through in your voice. Medium-low to low pitch would be ideal for MEDUSA. Bonus points for a Lust (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) impersonation.

  • Hey there, little adventurers! Welcome to DINO'S DIG! I'm DINO, the founder of DINO'S DIG!

NOTE: Like the SPROUT MOLES, there are many GATOR GUYS throughout OMORI, both enemies and friends. This particular role won't be voicing ALL of them, but MOST, as well as providing a "standard" voice for extras to imitate when voicing additional GATOR GUYS throughout the story. This is one of the funniest characters in the game. Please. Your timing is everything. Voice type does not matter so much as that you should sound like a young man who is a parody of an eccentric Evangelical undergoing a villain origin arc. Reduce, reuse, and recycle!

ALL-AMERICAN MOM is a character in OMORI. She is the mother of CRIS and married to ALL-AMERICAN GUY. She is warm, hearty, and an award-winning cook. The kind of mom who lives next door to you and almost always has something for you to eat on the counter. When she sees you, she'll talk about how tall you've grown and how she remembers how you were when you were little. Neighborly and sweet, if a little forgetful like her husband. [some description pulled from the OMORI Wiki]

CRIS'S MOM would benefit from a more stereotypical SUBURBAN NEIGHBOR MOM voice. The kind who loves to gossip. A little bit of a stereotypical "Karen," if you will.

  • My, KEL, you've grown so tall! You're basically a head taller than me! Your mother told me about your growth spurt, but it's another thing seeing it in person...

  • [panicked] Oh no, I forgot about my pie!

  • [singing to herself] La-di-dee! La-di-da! La-di-dee! La-di-da!
