Ready As I’ll Ever Be: Tangled Fan Dub

What is this?
Hello beloved people! This casting is a short fandub of the amazing song ‘Ready As I’ll Ever Be’, from Tangled the Series! I am very new to directing but when I first saw this song I was inspired to create my own one with myself and a few of you guys! In this song, I’ll obviously need some singers! And there will also be some speaking lines as well.

For those of you unfamiliar with this portion of the show : A few episodes earlier, there was a huge winter storm in Corona and because the king & Queen were gone taking vacation, Rapunzel was in charge for the first time. It was a little stressful because she needed to get all the citizens into the castle, due it was the only warm place. But then Varian, by that time still a friend of hers, ran in and said that he’d need Rapunzel’s help to save his father. Rapunzel -totally stressed- chose the kingdom over her friend, although she knew how desperate Varian was and that he really needed help.
Varian gets totally angry at her, runs back home and decides to take revenge. He also said before to Rapunzel, while asking her, “I would do the same for you”. He basically also hates himself for that.
In the final episodes, he “steals” the queen so that Rapunzel would come and get her mother back. His plan was to trap Rapunzel then, so that she’d have no other choice than to give him what he actually wanted when asking her for help; her magic hair.
Requirements:
Of course there will be a few requirements, just so that we can get the best quality we can for the end product.
When auditioning, make sure there is minimal sounds or no sound at all in the background
It would be a bonus if you did have a mic
No age requirements
When casted please send in your lines on time and always checking on just in case of updates on discord and so forth
And don’t forget to be yourself, be nice and have fun!
A few final notes:
1.) I'm a huge fan of this song and the original singers and actors but, I DO NOT EXPECT YOU TO TRY AND IMITATE THE ORIGINAL PERFORMANCES.Each role will have the suggested guidance and ideal performance parameters I have in mind for each character, but the beauty of acting is taking the same premise or direction and presenting it with your own unique flair.
2.) While auditioning and when being casted, please make sure we are nice to everyone and that everything is fair. I do not cast anyone before the deadline because I like to give everyone the chance to audition and take part.
3.) Discord is required, it is recommended as we utilize it to organize group rehearsals, deliver announcements, and distribute scripts (it's also been an incredibly useful tool for getting to know the people affiliated with the project and we've had fair bit of fun with it)
4) One very last note is that I will also be taking part in this song so I’ll be playing the role of Cassandra. So that’s why she won’t be up for an audition :)

Varian is a young alchemist who appears as a reoccurring character. In this particular song he serves as the main antagonist for the second half of the first season, to take revenge on Rapunzel for ignoring his cry for help to save his father. THE FIRST LINE IS SPEAKING SO JUST SPEAK HAHA. He only says one line is this song, so that’s why it’s with the singing bit. Some other characters are like this as well.

Although in the main series he is a main character, he plays a minor role in this song. He is with the guards and follows Cassandra to save the Queen. He both sings and speaks in this song

Arianna is the mother of Rapunzel. She is “kidnapped“ by Varian in this song. She is kindhearted and tries to convince Varian to stop.

Yes we all know Rapunzel, but yeah go for it. Basically she is the one the Varian wants, to lure her and use her magic hair to save his Father.

Heehee...I sure am.
(speaking)
“Together we will, guarantee...”
Pretty self explanatory, the captain of the guard. Unfortunately he is not in the shape to help fight so he puts Cassandra in charge
Actually, I don't think I am. I'll only slow you down
I'm not. She is.
Pete is a part of the guard, along with his buddy Stan are concerned about the captains health but follow Cassandra in the assault
But how are you gonna lead the assault?

He is the Father of Rapunzel, and she and him go together to save Arianna (Mother). From the beginning he has always been super worried about Rapunzel and can be overprotective.
Yes, yes. I just had to make a stop in the kitchen. I'm told you're pretty handy with one of these.
(Speaking line)“Are you quite sure we can do this”
“I’m ready”
Anyone can do this role, even if you audition for another role and don’t get it, you get to be part of the cast still!
