Before I begin, keep in mind that the Out of Place Podcast casting call page will always be open. I am constantly adding and recasting roles. This is an ongoing podcast so I highly recommend to follow this casting call so that when I post an update you will receive an email and notification.
My name is Steven Daniel. I am an author. You can check out my work here: StevenDanielBooks.com. I have a podcast called Out of Place. A show hosted by a talkative deplorable who is always guaranteed to hurt someone’s feelings. I talk about issues that many people care about. I try to be honest with my opinions and do not care about anybody else's'. Every podcast will begin with a touchy topic and end with a fun topic with a whole lot of craziness in between.

That is where this casting call comes in. I want someone to do a monthly cover on Sex advice. Someone to cover gaming news. Someone to cover Entertainment news. Finally someone to cover theme park news. So that is 4 people I need to be part of the show. All you have to do is record your creative news segment and send it to me. I am not going to be paying you. However, at the end of your news segment you can plug in all your info so that listeners can support you if they want to. I also need each person to be unbiased especially in politics and try to be funny. Keep in mind that after your segment is done I might comment on certain news topics you bring up. Oh and if you have friends you want to do this with to make it a group thing that is fine too.
My podcast will be uploaded once a month. So all the news will be the top news that happened in the month. Oh and keep in mind that Out of Place has vulgar language and profanity.
Besides the 4 people I need for the news. There is a segment I want to do called, Celebrity Chat. It is where I interview celebrities fictional and real. The celebrities will be impressions. So if you can do a really great impression of any known fictional or real person or thing. Show it off. If I like a celebrity impression I will message you privately and start working on a script for you.
Please do your best to record at a professional level. Try to remove as much background as you can.

I want you to think of Out of Place like Netflix with multiple shows. Right now we have the main show, where I host and trigger all folks. It has gaming news, entertainment news, sex talk segment, and theme park news hosted by other talented voice over artists. It is uploaded on the 15th of every month. However, I want listeners to have more content while they wait for the main show. So far I am planning to have politics and will have an audio drama series. I also want two more shows. This is where you come in. If you ever wanted to start a podcast but never wanted to manage one or deal with the stress of editing and doing all the work. If you don't mind having your show be a part of someone else's brand, in this case, Out of Place. Well, show me what you got! Give me a minute sample of your show. Could be about anything! Make sure you listen to Out of Place to understand the style. Has to sound professional. If you need me to do intro song and edit, I do not mind doing it. What matters is how entertaining you are. With the success of Episode 4 where Joker and Harley took over my podcast. People wanted more of that story telling. So I am making a whole new podcast presented by Out of Place, no name yet, showcasing some audio dramas. Could be serious or funny. Could be any genre! Could be original or fan fiction. If you want to see your short 5 - 10 minute story come to life, I got you covered. I will produce the whole story. All you have to do is write the script. It is an opportunity to show off an existing script or use Out of Place to practice and develop your writing skill.
Keep in mind that this is not a position. I accept all scripts from anyone. Private message me or upload your script here with google docs or something. Or you ask for my email so you can send the file there. I will read them and if I like it and can visualize the audio drama, I will produce it. Also, I work on a first come first serve basis. So, your script might not be worked on for a while. However, if I tell you that you your script will be produced. I will get to it. I promise.

I was listening to my past episodes and realized that my intro is lacking something. I want someone to write me a funny monologue every month. Someone that gets my humor and style. The monologue has to get people's attention to get them to keep wanting more. What will you have to write? Pretty much what was going on in the world in the month while at the same time not being afraid to trigger people. How long? 2 minutes, I will be adding to it.
You will be getting paid $10 per month to write a 2 minute monologue. Either send me a 1 minute script privately or send me a link to an excerpt of your past works.
