Hi, I'm Jacques!
I started video editing 8 years ago, uploading short gaming clips to my YouTube channel. I was never wildly successful, but had some great moments, a lot of fun, and tons of practice. A friend of mine reached out to me last year to hire me as an editor for his far more successful YouTube channel, which allowed me to hone my skills on longer-format videos alongside my own creations. I use Vegas Pro for editing, but I am also in the process of learning Premiere Pro.
Along the way, I started to speak in my videos, (sometimes even sing, albeit not very well) and my audience was very encouraging about my voice. As such, I thought I'd give voice acting a try - I'm by no means a professional, but I'd love to try and work on it! As a bilingual I'm gifted with the ability to speak both English and French, with or without their respective accents.

J'ai commencé le montage vidéo il y a 8 ans, en jouant à des jeux sur ma chaîne YouTube. Je n'ai jamais connu un grand succès, mais je me suis beaucoup amusé et entrainé avec le temps. L'année dernière, un ami m'a embauché pour l'aider avec sa chaîne beaucoup plus populaire, ce qui m'a permis de travailler dans un contexte professionnel et améliorer mes compétences tout en continuant mes propres créations. J'utilise Vegas Pro pour le montage, mais je suis également en train d'apprendre Premiere Pro.
À un moment j'ai commencé à parler dans mes vidéos (parfois même chanter, mais pas très bien) et mes abonnés m'ont beaucoup encouragé et complimenté par rapport à ma voix. C'est comme cela que je me suis dit que ça valait le coup de tenter de devenir VA amateur. En tant que bilingue mes deux langues maternelles sont l'anglais et le français, que je peux parler avec ou sans accent.
