About Ted Huggins

My name is Ted Huggins. I am a British male Voiceover Artist, Audio Engineer, Voice Director and Demo Producer.

An experienced, multi-award-nominated voice actor of over 6 years with a background in theatre going back as far as the late 2000s, coming up with performances for any project that leave a strong and lasting impact is what I live and breathe. I have a Lower Baritone voice that's described as Toasty, Velvety, Affectionate, Sagacious, Dulcet and Versatile. My voice skillset and range make me an exemplary choice for Commercials, E-Learning, Audiobooks and Animation with a particular emphasis on Audio Dramas and Video Games.
Some of my award nominations include Best Male Voiceover Newcomer of the Year and Best Male Audio Drama Performance at the One Voice Awards in 2023 and 2024. And Best Human Performance in an Audio Drama/Podcast in both 2023 and 2024 at the Vox Awards.

I also have a BSc (Hons) degree in Music Technology and, as an Audio Engineer, have extensive experience in Live Sound, Studio Recording, Audio Mixing and Mastering, Music Production and Sound Design. As an audio engineer, I approach my projects much like a chef would approach a dish, using many different ingredients at my disposal to construct something unique that never leaves me until the client and I are satisfied with the final result. In addition to that, I have attended multiple VO training courses at places like Acting Coach Scotland as well as many VO courses from the online VO training and mentoring platforms, Gravy For The Brain and Wonderland VO and have had the privilege of learning from some of the most renowned people in the business, including Mark Estdale, Sebastian Croteau and Emily Jardine, to name a few.

As one of the co-founders of Planet Buster Demos, I write, direct and produce Gaming Demo Reels for voice actors along with my co-founder and fellow voice actor Mars Lipowski. Creating original scripts, characters and scenes, along with our visionary and cinematic style of directing and dynamic and potent sound design, results in voice performances that are compelling and authentic and a demo that is 100% tailored to the voice talent and an accurate representation of their skills and range while punching through the noise of modern casting. Our demos have been nominated at both the One Voice Awards and the SOVAS Awards for the Outstanding Performances of our clients, which have had a global reach in addition to the UK.

Since 2021 I have hosted, performed and produced the Cryo Pod Tapes Podcast – a science fiction horror anthology podcast that tells immersive Cosmic Horror short stories with intimate narration, compelling sound design and original story-tailored music.

I bring both rich authenticity and audio technical mastery to every project I am invited to. Where I'm not just playing with voice and sound – I'm building worlds. And I guarantee you will get 3 things out of me: Depth, Nuance and Creative Soul. And if that's what you're looking for in your next project, get in contact and let's get rolling!
