(Comes on) That was just some dame on the phone . . . lookin’ for a guy! (Breaks off) Creeps! What’s bleached you? Why’d you smash that glass?Oh yeah? The dope . . . the crazy . . . (Breaks off) Hey! I know you! You’re Cranston! You’ve been around asking questions!
Yeah! Hang up, or I’ll give you what I gave that welshing bookie! . . . (Measured) right between the eyes! (Snaps) Hang up! . . .
(Cuts in) You were calling the cops! I should’ve fixed you right after the trial!
