Nice read.
Even with narrating an opening intro for a video game or movie, or even reading an audiobook, you still want to lift the words off of the page and make it sound like you aren’t reading. Make it come to life. Have an opinion about what you are reading. This is one of the things that separates us from AI right now.
I noticed most of your sentences had the same rhythm and ended on a downward inflection. Be careful about patterns developing. They start to jump out to listeners and can detract from the message. Make use of change-ups in emotion, inflection, pacing, volume, pitch, etc. Keep it interesting to listen to.
Think about the context of the script. The who, what, when, why, where, and how. Who is your audience? What are the demographics of whom you are speaking to? What do they look like? Why are you telling them this? Add the emotional layer - if you’re bored, your audience will be bored. If this is exciting to you, your audience will share in your excitement. How does your audience react to what you are telling them? This will affect how you read/deliver the script and will in turn make it more real and authentic.
I encourage you to look into further treating your space to reduce/remove the reverb and room reflections in your audio because that could now start to become a limiting factor in your ability to book work. We recommend 4” acoustic foam and/or blankets. Rockwool Safe’n’Sound panels could also help to deaden the reflections and reverb. These you can even DIY fairly easily. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
