Mercy for Trini Kwan | Yellow Ranger
Trini is the yellow ranger. She is descended from a Taiwanese father and a Korean mother. She was born in Taiwan but moved to Angel Grove as a child. She is a skilled martial artist and the second smartest in the group, with Billy, the Blue Ranger, being the first. She is the only one able to translate Billy's nerd-speak. She has a crush on Jason, the Red Ranger, but is too shy to do anything about it. Overall, she is a slightly introverted, friendly, intelligent girl.
Trini was played by the late Thuy Trang in the original series. She did not have any kind of stereotypical East Asian accent and I don't intend to give her one, so please don't try to do one unless it's your natural speaking voice. I don't want any racist depictions of characters. Other than that there isn't anything in particular I'm looking for in her voice, so do whatever you think might work for the character. Regardless, here is the first episode of MMPR to get an idea of how the characters act and sound in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

[Depressed, stressed. Complaining to Kimberly that she forgot her mothers birthday.] "Can I live with you...I'm about to be homeless...I forgot my moms birthday! It was last week and I was so preoccupied with setting up Angel Day and I just- Y'know? I'm horrible..."
[Anxious, whispering to herself. About to talk to Jason] "(Don't throw up Trini. Just don't throw up) Jason! Nice one! It's about time someone put Bulk in his place. Um...any chance you maybe wanna skip out on sixth period and help me with a research project? With all that's going on, I don't think anyone will notice."
[Serious-ish tone. Trini has brought Jason out to a remote area on the outskirts of town, and is explaining why.] "To get answers. We've been rangers for what, a few days now? It's not like Zordon gave us an owner's manual. What can we do? What can't we do? Do we have powers we don't know about? What are our weaknesses? I don't know about you, but I'd like to know stuff like that before stepping into another fight."
