Yestergirls - Visual Audio Play
Project Overview
Yestergirls is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre, examining the lives of a magical girl team in their mid-30s. The script is a dramedy and will feature strong language, violence, and sexual themes (though no sex or nudity). Even so, there is more of a lean on the comedy side, so we're hoping to find actors with good comedic timing as well.
The format is an audio play supplemented by images (here's a link to the first episode for an example). We have no definitive end to this project, so anyone auditioning for a main character we'd like to be able to stick around as long as their life's circumstances permit. Main characters will have a lot of lines, but they will be spread out as each episode takes a month or two to get out.

Komura is the backstage manager. He/she knows what's up, and doesn't take any shit from anyone. Komura should have a tough, savvy voice.

A nosy neighbor who's convinced that his next door neighbor is an assassin! His voice should sound a bit weasly and suspicious.
Oh, hey Miss Moto! (playfully ribbing) Heading out to your secret job again?
Please don’t kill me! I’m just a kid! I have so much left to live for! I promise I won’t tell anyone! I’ll even move out of the country and live in China and work in an Apple sweatshop if you just please let me live!!!!
I knew it! And now I’m almost entirely sure! Miss Moto is most assuredly and positively POSSIBLY… an assassin!! And tonight, I will follow her after she leaves. I will follow her. And I will capture her exploits on video. And then… then? I don’t know. I’ll figure all that out later!
