Rex is an optimistic and easy-going, yet naive, young boy. He wishes to protect and support those close to him, to the point that he sends most of the money he obtains from salvaging to his home village. However, Rex tends to be careless and overconfident, which puts him and his companions in trouble from time to time.
Since being a kid, Rex had a strong sense of justice and was against conflict and war; due to this, he wants to reach Elysium, as he believes that, by doing so, he can save humanity from its dying world. He fears causing suffering to others with his actions, usually blaming himself whenever someone is hurt or killed.

Nia usually comes across as sarcastic and cynical, always having a witty put-down at other characters' shortcomings.
Nia's conditions as a Flesh Eater, and the persecution she suffered for it, causes her to be reticent of others, and led her to join Torna. She joins Rex's quest to Elysium in hopes of finding a place where she could belong
(Laughs) A Child Salvager? Jin, don't tell me we're gonna have to hire some babysitters for this outing too.

As the leader of the Ardainian military, Mรฒrag is strong-willed and dedicated, and values the safety of her country and people above anything else. She rarely loses her temper and manages to stay cool-headed even in the most dangerous of situations.
Despite her abilities, Mรฒrag is shown to struggle to connect with her younger brother due to the difference in their positions. Due to her mannerisms and clothing, she is also sometimes mistaken for a man.

Zeke is usually prone to flamboyant speech and mannerisms, styling himself as "Zeke von Genbu, Bringer of Chaos" and "The Zekenator", and uses similarly grandiose names for his sword and arts. He is known throghout Alrest as "Thunderbolt Zeke", the Crown Prince and most powerful Driver of the Kingdom of Tantal.
After being disowned from the Tantalese throne by his father, Zeke developed a deep resentment of him, and even viewing his hometown as backwards and ignorant to the rest of the world. Despite this, Zeke was shown to still be proud of his country's legacy, albeit until the lies about Addam's heritage were discovered.
Despite his mannerisms, Zeke is sometimes protrayed as being reflexive and mature. However, he is usually accompanied by bad luck, and is afraid of heights. Zeke and Pandoria have a pet turtle who they call Turters.

Brighid, being the Blade of the Special Inquisitor of Mor Ardain and the Empire's strongest Blade, is a strict, dutiful Blade to Morag. She is polite and strong-willed. She is also very wise and is attentive to the demands of both her and Morag's station; however, she will defer to Morag's decisions in conflicts. She shares a strong friendship and rivalry with Mythra, having recollected her time with the Aegis from her diary. She also expects to be treated with respect, and greatly disapproves of Tora's ideas of women, along with Mythra's initial brute force.
