Due to some complications, the role of Carl has been re-opened for others to try out. Even though there have already been a few auditions for the role already, I feel the need to give more people the opportunity to take this role on. This role will be open until: 20th January 2018
"Mathew, anything is possible when, you are..... the chosen one."[Context: He's grabbing Mathews' shoulders, looking at him dead in the eye. He's says this in a serious manner]{Just a thought - Maybe whisper 'the chosen one' part.}
"We need to keep moving, keep your eyes open for more foes."[Context: Liam just knocked someone out so he's a little out of breath. He says this in a serious manner.]
"Aaah fudge nuggets! That really hurt!"[Context: A cookie is hurled at Liams' face (don't ask).]
Mathew is 19 years old, a chemistry student that enjoys reading, logic and tranquility. He pretty much has to act like a babysitter to Liam when both of them go and do anything outside of university. Even though this annoys him to an extent, he's gotten used to it. He lives in a student hall just outside of his university and shares his floor with Liam. The only thing these two have in common is their love for snacks and have the same brand of bags.
"... Uuuuhhh... We... don’t... have them...?"[Context: Tiff intimidates Mathew to give in his train tickets, just after he misplaced them. Panic in his voice and mentally bracing himself for what will happen next .]
"What foes?! You just knocked out a kid! We’re going to be in so much trouble if someone finds out!"[Context: Mathew lecturing Liam while in disbelief that morphs into slight panic at the end.]
"I still can’t believe all this is
happening, HOW is this happening?
It’s impossible."[Context: Mathew in disbelief at what has happened this whole time.]
Tiff is 32. She used to be a professional weightlifter and boxer before she became a train conductor. She still does weightlifting but more as a hobby. She loves a spicy food, being on her feet and dogs. She's a very direct person and doesn't really sugar-coat what she says to certain people. Most of her co-workers, her boss and passengers are intimidated by her because of her built structure and choice of hair and piercings. To add insult to injury, she also has a masculine tone in her voice.
"You two will pay! The price of
admission!"[Context: Tiff readying an attack aimed at main characters.]"You haven’t paid for first class
seats!"[Context: Tiff shouting at main characters for trying to sit in first class seats.]"I said, tickets. Please."[Context: Tiff asking for main characters' tickets again after they don't give them the first time.]
Lizzie is 33 and bored of her job, but it's the only one that she can find at the moment that pays decently. She loves being lazy (but doesn't have the luxury of being it right now), the internet, and fancy wine. Even though her job requires her to interact with people, when it comes to talking to people outside of work hours, she doesn't say much. Because of this, people think that she's shy when in reality she just wants to ignore them.
"Huh? Wh-what happened?"[Context: Lizzie snapping out of a trance.]
"I'm not sure if the stalls should be set up there. Not many people will be able to view it, let alone walk passed it."[Context: Lizzie talking to a work colleague.]
"I work 8 to 6, not including the commuting hours. Of course I don't have time to go out drinking."[Context: Lizzie talking to a friend on the phone.]
Carl is a grumpy 40 year old man. Carl had many previous jobs before the one he has now, but had quit each one for one reason or another. He's only stuck with the job as a train driver because of the better pay compared to his previous jobs and his crush works at his local train station. He doesn't like kids, teens or his boss. He likes to watch documentaries, eat pickles and loves his pet cat.
"I’m sick of this! Sick. Of. This! The job, this uniform, my boss, my co-workers, especially Janice! That lucky old bag of wrinkles is just 3 years away from retirement!"[Context: Carl venting in frustration to main characters when he snaps.]
"This was easier the first time I started this job... I miss being naive."[Context: Carl staring at a new control on his work station.]
"You kids shouldn’t be in here, it’s restricted access." [Context: Carl scolding the main characters for entering the drivers compartment of the train.]
