Wings of Fire Comic Dub
Project Overview
This project is a comic dub of Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland. The comic dub will be posted on YouTube. Our goal is the first book, "The Dragonet Prophecy", but we're hoping to achieve more than that. This project is quite laid-back, so there won't be many deadlines. If you get a part, you can record your lines whenever you're free unless I tell you if there is a due date. We are looking for artists who can draw dragons and/or backgrounds, voice actors with any amount of experience, and audio/video editors. You must have a decent mic with little to no static, and make sure to record with no background noise, e.g. voices, cars, etc.

Kestrel is the mean and strict teacher for the main dragonets. Your voice can be anywhere from low to medium, but we are very relaxed with voice pitches! The main thing we are looking for is your ability to be loud and yell.
*ANGRY* “Oh, yes? Which opponent would you prefer, the stunted SandWing or the lazy RainWing?”
“Are all Mudwings this stupid? OR ARE YOU JUST DEAF?”
“I'm your teacher, nothing I do is cheating. Get down here and fight like a Skywing!”
Teacher to the main dragonets. He has a nice personality, and is kind, but can still be strict. Teen to adult voices.
“This is for your own good. We only want to keep you safe. Maybe this isn’t the perfect way but-”
“I stand with the Talons of Peace. Kestrel? Is that you?”
“Maybe he wants to make sure they're ready to stop the war?”
A small role. No strict age or voice for him. He strongly believes in peace.
“Haven’t enough dragons died for your war?!”
*scared*“No one would hurt a dragon egg.”
*shrieking* NO!
A mean teacher, like Kestrel. Preferably a slightly lower voice. Teen to adult.
“Tsunami. Hold your tongue.”
“We followed the prophecy, she wasn’t in a clutch of eggs - I found her egg alone, buried out in the desert. Just like the prophecy said.”
Clay’s role is very important for the comic dub. Book one is in his perspective, after all. The voice actor should have a young male-like voice. Keep in mind his kindhearted personality.
*Distressed* “I'm trying! Maybe if we could stop and talk about it----”
*Startled, talking fast* “What did I do? I'm sorry! It was an accident! Or if it was the extra cow, Dune said I could have it because Webs would be out late, but I'm sorry, I can skip dinner tomorrow!”
“I’d like to meet a real scavenger!”
One of the main dragonets. He is very logical, and loves to read. Preferably has a teen, or young teen voice.
“This is not proper studying, perhaps I should read to everyone instead.”
“I'm not sure we’re ready. There's so much we haven't learned yet…”
“I am saying it to your face, or was I saying it to your rear end? It's easy to get the two confused.”
One of the SandWing princesses. Burn is the most murderous of the three SandWing sisters, so she must have a sinister tone in her voice. Her voice can be any pitch, from teen to adult.
“Ha. They’re just a few worms crying over a little blood.”
*triumphant* “So much for your tragic little movement.”
“Tell me, do you really believe in that pompous old NightWing’s prophecy?”
Kind, old, tells stories. Very small role. Teen to adult, however, as long as you can sound like an old, story-telling man, you're good.
“Your Majesty, I do have one or two words to say in this prisoner's defence.”
“The dragonets were defective, One had too much fire. The other didn’t have enough.”
If you wouldn't like to be any of the other characters, or want a small role. You can audition for a larger role and an extra (That would be preferred).
“The Talons of Peace? You mean they’re real?”
“More blood! More death! Somebody bite somebody!”
FOR FUN (OPTIONAL):
(singing/cheering) “OH THE DRAGONETS ARE COMING!”
*evil laughter* Y'all gonna die! :)
