We Will Endure: an original fiction podcast
Project Overview
We Will Endure is a fiction podcast about trying to recreate life after the end of the world.
It is set after a nuclear incident that left the surface of the earth bare, and forced most of the remaining human population in underground bunkers. River, our protagonist, in the search for their missing mother, comes upon Harvey’s farm and decides to help him accomplish his dream for a new beginning.
The podcast deals with loss, grief, hope and found families.
This is not a paid project at the moment, but once we record our first episode we will be putting up a kickstarter and if it succeeds, you will be paid for your time.
When you audition, please include your email! If you don't, we won't be able to do callbacks with you, which means you will be judged on what you submit here and nothing else.

River is our main character. They are a young (in their early 20s) non-binary native american who is trying to find their place in the world. They are kind, a bit awkward, and often at a loss when confronted with reality.
Please only audition for this if you are native american! You do not have to be nonbinary as well but we highly encourage any native nonbinary people to audition.
(as if whispering into a phone) He’s…kind of old. Is he… alone on this farm? That’s a little strange, right? Maybe there are others scouting the woods…
What- oh! Oh no!
Sir! Are you alright?! Oh dear…
(Sounding sleepy) Hey mom. How are you? I’m fine. I spent the day outside with Harvey. He needed to cut some firewood so I- (They yawn) -I helped him out.
(joyfully) I’m really not! This is the best thing I’ve ever eaten!
Harvey is an older gentleman (in his late 60s) with a booming laugh and a tendency to keep secrets. He is quick to take River under his wing and believes in making the world a better place through hard work and community.
(he laughs) Don’t worry, bud. You don’t look like a raider. You just have to be careful out there, you know? The wasteland makes some people a bit crazy; a bit dangerous.
(sounding full of pride) It sure is. It’s my farm.
Alright, come on kiddo. I have something cool to show you before you conk out.
Val is a headstrong young girl (16). She’s not afraid to express her frustration and gets annoyed quite easily. Her relationship with River isn’t an easy one at first, but they eventually manage to find common ground and become quite close.
Yeah, okay? I took the watering can. I need it way more than you do!
Listen buddy, I get that you’ve been alone for like, forever or whatever. But just because you’re desperate and lonely does not mean I’m going to trust you just like that! I’ve known you three days!
(reminiscing) Well, it isn't- I mean it wasn't like this. It was...nice, I guess. But I don't miss it. Here, at least, I'm doing *something*.
