Project Overview
Before auditioning, please ad the code word which will be located somewhere in this description. All auditions without the code word will be skipped over. This is just to make sure you read all the rules and know what the story is about before getting involved.
Hi, I'm Hannah! I am an inspirational indie animator looking to turn my stories into a 2D animated film futured on YouTube. Me and my little sister have been working on this show called "We're Smart" a comedy/mystery series, for 4 years and we think it's finally time to start hiring staff members!
All positions are paid! If you are accepted, we will discuss payment method and amount over DM's on DISCORD!! So please, when auditioning, share you Discord information as well. Oh, and don't listen to what CCC says about payment, that's just to give CCC the knowledge that I will pay you, just with my own twist. ^_^
Ok! You probably want a description of the show, so here it is!
“We’re Smart” synopsis
“We’re Smart” is an indie series that consists of at least 12 episodes or more that will be in a 2D-anime style. The show follows a character named Boris Myizonos, who attends school as a normal everyday human, but at night, he becomes Jack The Reaper, the world's most wanted thief, hunted by all.
Boris is known as an ability user, he has the ability to create black holes, however, he can’t control it, leaving him afraid of his own abilities. This as a backlash, makes it so that he can’t touch anyone, for anyone that touches him gets their life sucked out of them and dies.
Ability users are very rare in this world, however, people fear what they don’t understand, so they treat people with such abilities as animals, a separate species that have lower rights. Boris acts as the hero on the ability side of the world and the villain on the humans side of the world, yet, he follows both sides as he believes that everyone has the right to live.
Boris’ overall goal is to steal from the rich and give it back to the poor/ability users in similar positions as he was before being adopted into a wealthy family all while trying to keep everyone safe from his past mistakes.

Rules
1) Please have Discord as it is our main way of communication, and place it in your audition description.
2) You may audition for as many roles as you want, but please only audition once per role so they don't get crowded.
3) Be respectable to others auditions
4) have fun with you audition!
5) Be sure to submit either a portfolio, which I hope you know how to make, if not, their pretty easy. It's just a google doc showing off your work. Easy right! Or (if you auditioning for an acting role) a WAV or MP3) file with your Discord information and the code word cat.
6) Be active and committed! This is a long-term project that will take years to complete. So I need committed and active staff members that I can count on! Now yes, I do understand that life can be a piece of shit, but we can always work around scheduling if stuff ever comes up 2-3 years through the project.
8) If you audition for an acting position, please have the right gear. Bad mics will automatically be a 'no' as my sister and I want this film to sound professional. Kind a like what you see with all of the indie pilots on YouTube right now. (Lackadaisy, Digital Cirus, Hellavaboss, etc)
Other than that, have fun, stay healthy, and please, if you do audition be committed! That's all I ask!

A storyboard artist are one of the first steps to making a film. They are the people who sketch out a scene and send it to the animators to fully finished the frame by frame animation; overall, finishing a scene.

This is one of the last steps to creating a film. This role, you must animate a scene based on what the Storyboard artist give you and make it come alive through frame by frame animation.

For this role, you'll be in charge of the animation team. This includes meetings with the animators, schedules, timing, animation style, and workflow. This role is open to more then one person as I will hire more than one manager for this group. You must be active and clear with your team.

This role you'll be the person who is in charge of the actors and their time management. This will include meetings with actors, scheduling, workflow, interviews (if ever needed), and assignments.
You yourself may not be an actor (unless you audition for a role and get it) but you'll be in charge of the actors workflow and scheduling.

Boris is the main protagonists! That makes him a lead role.
Boris is a teenaged boy at the end of his high school years. He is typically a calm--out of the way--kind of boy at school and around people. At night time, however, he becomes a thief and steals things from the rich to give back to the poor. When he's stealing things, he wears a mask to keep his identity a secrete, when he does this, he becomes cocky, rambunctious, and extremely loud.
In other words, day time/at school, typical shy--out of the way--calm boy at high school; at night, professional thief with shity luck who is very loud, cocky, funny, and rambunctious.

(Serious/in his own thoughts) “If this is a bad day for a normal person, then everyday is a bad day for me.”
*Whinny/angry* "That's not fair!! I wanted the snow cone! Why does the girl get it? She's not even nice-see! She just kicked a random child, how's is that nice?!"
Hazzel is another main protagonist's of the series. Think of her as the love interest of Boris *hint hint*
Hazzel, is the go to go person, the person you vent to, go to the mall with, talk about you life problems to, tell secrets that she'll keep secret kind of girl. She very kind, generous and loyal.
Hazzel at school is very kind and smart, but at night, she becomes the cities hero known as Shekabe! She fights crime and stops robbers, but most importantly, she chases Boris, known as Jack The Reaper to her, all around town, trying to catch him and bring him to justice!
So, at school, she is very kind and sweet, but at night, she becomes a hero with a little more of an attitude, we're talking, yelling, angry, and bossy.

Hazzel as a tough-tomboy-girl voice. She may sound sweet and kind when she wants to, but she can also come off of a she-demon when she's angry.

(Embarrassed/pissed off) “STOP FLIRTING WITH ME YOU PERV! YOUR UGLY AND WEIRD!”
Daizi is the detective of the series. He is more of a side character, but nevertheless, he still plays a pretty big part on the film. Daizi is the world's smartest detective, so think Sherlock Holms.
He has a deep, warm, calming voice. He's very serious and loves to solve/catch unsolvable/catchable cases. That is why he is after Boris, his mission is to catch Boris and put him in prison.

(annoyed/a know it all/a little cocky) “The world is full of obvious things which nobody observes.”
(smart/put together) “It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.”.
Hakuji is another main protagonists (last one I swear). He is the right hand man for Boris, he makes all the tech that Boris uses on his missions, think chair man! Hakuji is very confident, cocky, bit of a badass, and has this calm dimeter to him. He's your typical rich boy with an attitude to show.
Hakuji has a medium voice, he can sound deep when he's being serious, however, he's more of a medium voice range.

(Cocky) “So he’s a big fancy dancy man. There’s no reason to sweat about it. You and I can easily out think this old man. He’s way off our level!”
(Confident/braty) “You stole it from me, you small ass pussy!! And don't call me a rich ass snob! It’s ‘rich daddy’ to you”
(Starts off angry, than turns into a perverted/soft voice) “HEY! IT WAS ONE TIME THAT GUY ASKED ME OUT!!!! AND FOR YOUR INFORMATION, IT WAS ONE SIDED. I DON’T ROLL THAT WAY…… I’m into girls with nice boobs. You know?”
Detective Daizi Palmers sidekick. He just hangs out and helps out the detective.
I don’t have any references unfortunately for this character; but what I’m looking for is someone who is informative, calm, reasonable, and knowledgeable. Their voice is a little medium. He sounds like your typical sidekick character in all those detective films. American accent.

(Concerned/informative) “Mr Palmer please! Think about this, this is crazy! Jack the Reaper, your son? You sound insane! I’ve known you for 13 years and never seen you in a romantic relationship! There's just no way he’s your kid.”
(Angry/a little insane, do good with that giggle) “Well damn, you were right, Mr. Palmer. *Gigle* typical, you're always right.”
The main Villain of the story who tortured, not just Boris (main character), but many other children to succeed in his own personal goal to create his vision of a perfect world.
