Project Overview

Hi everyone, my name is Sami and I am a professional voice actress, voice director, vocalist, and film student. I have begun to embark on a VERY big project, which is dubbing an entire webcomic, and I will need plenty of help to get this off the ground!

What is Ventura City Drifters about?

Alina Scratch, a short but high-jumping and super competitive cat joins Ventura City University's college basketball team in the hopes of reclaiming the team's championship-winning glory days! Join Alina, Emily & the rest of the Drifters as they face tougher and tougher opponents with each turn!

  • CASTING PROGRESS

    Hi guys! Sorry for the radio silence these past few months, I've been awfully busy with work and college. BUT, this project is STILL happening, I promise!

    In terms of progress: I have cast my actors for most of my main cast, and will be slowly reaching out to other applicants to play smaller roles/roles in the future! Therefore, casting is just about 80% done.

    Once again, thank you everyone for your enthusiasm and patience, it really means a lot to me. Hopefully, we can get this project hitting the ground running as soon as possible!

  • MORE CHARACTERS + ALINA ROLE MISTAKE

    Hi everyone! First of all, thank you all so much for auditioning, I genuinely appreciate the interest! I have a few things that I would like to clarify in this update:

    1. More roles!!! I've added some big/medium sized roles with certain "character archetypes", including a male character (FINALLY). This is a huge webcomic with 50+ characters, which is why I will not be able to create an audition side for all of them. As such, I have put out some "generic" or "cliche" characters, in hopes of casting a wider net and casting some other characters in the process. So even if you don't book the role you audition for, I may reach out to you in the coming weeks to offer you another role. Please keep your contacts open, especially your discord and CCC DMs.

    2. I've gotten multiple queries on why Alina's audition side is "link only". I checked the audition side and noticed that it has been listed as "Actor" instead of "Voice Actor", thus the link submission. Unfortunately, this is irreversible, and I don't want to lose the auditions that some of you have already submitted. I apologise for the inconvenience!

    3. This brings me to my next point: If you are auditioning for Alina Scratch, please ensure that the I have access to the google drive/dropbox link that you're sending me!!! Some of you have not granted me access to the links, so I have not been able to listen to your auditions.
