Kyouko Kirigiri is the Super High School Level Detective, although during the killing game she had no idea what her talent was due to amnesia. Kyouko is a level-headed girl with a strong sense of justice and a sharp intellect. She is quite cold at times, and is not overly social.

Sayaka Maizono is the Super High School Level Pop Sensation. She is bubbly and upbeat, and has an extremely attuned intuition- to the point where she jokes about being psychic. Sayaka quickly cracks under pressure, though, and would do anything to ensure the safety of the idol group she belongs to.

Leon Kuwata is the Super High School Level Baseball Star. He's a fiery-tempered boy who loves all things punk rock. He's rebellious and hates his own talent, feeling like he was forced into it. He wishes to pursue a music career one day, but is generally lazy about working towards it.

Chihiro Fujisaki is the Super High School Level Programmer. He's a shy boy who dresses in girl's clothes to avoid being mocked by his more manly peers. He guards the secret of his gender closely. He's incredibly timid and a huge pacifist, who hates conflict of all kinds. He is very intelligent, especially with computers.

Mondo Oowada is the Super High School Level Biker Gang Leader. Mondo is a brash and hypermasculine boy who's incredibly quick to anger. He carries a lot of trauma around his older brother's death, and strives to be as manly as he can because of it. He secretly worries about his future and what he's going to do when he leaves his gang.

Celestia Ludenberg, also known as Taeko Yasuhiro, is the Super High School Level Gambler. Celestia dresses like a gothic princess, and is a chronic liar. She calls herself the 'Queen of Lies'. Celestia is hard to read at the best of times, but occasionally snaps from her princess-like disposition and cusses out whoever is annoying her. Celestia is extremely hard to please.

Sakura Oogami is the Super High School Level Martial Artist. She is an intimidating presence, with a deep voice and bulging muscles. However, Sakura is actually an extremely caring and gentle person, with an appreciation for tea and protein shakes. She would, quite literally, die for her friends.

Aoi Asahina is the Super High School Level Swimmer. She is upbeat and optimistic, and has a healthy appreciation for donuts. She believes in her friends a lot, although has some hidden doubts about her own weight and femininity. She is basically a big cheerleader for the class, but can get extremely defensive if you get on her bad side.

Byakuya Togami is the Super High School Level Affluent Progeny. He is stuck-up and snobbish to anyone he considers lesser to him, which is everyone. He is extremely quick-witted and intelligent, and tends to treat life-or-death situations as games for him to win. He shows very little respect to the people around him, and rarely thinks before he insults them.

Touko Fukawa is the Super High School Level Writing Prodigy. She is extremely withdrawn, and has a stuttering problem. She tends to insult everyone around her, and often makes crude and sexual remarks about them. She has a huge crush on Byakuya Togami, who doesn't return her affections in the slightest. Touko rarely takes baths, and often neglects her personal needs.

Genocider Syo is Touko Fukawa's alter, and the self-proclaimed Super High School Level Murderous Fiend. She is extremely sexual, and makes a tonne of innuendos. She kills all the boys she finds attractive, and references this constantly. She is extremely loud and crass, and is easily amused and annoyed.

Yasuhiro Hagakure is the Super High School Level Clairvoyant. He has a wacky personality, and takes his predictions as gospel- despite them only being true 30% of the time. He's laidback, but easily frightened and intimidated. Yasuhiro is extremely bad at managing money, and is in extreme debt because of this.

Mukuro Ikusaba is the Super High School Level Soldier. She left home at a young age to join the elite mercenary group Fenrir, and only returned to look after her twin sister, Junko Enoshima. Mukuro is completely dependant on Junko, and will do whatever she asks her to do. Mukuro is somewhat cold, and doesn't know how to get her feelings across to other people.

Monokuma is the so-called "headmaster" of Hope's Peak Academy, and the ringleader of the killing games, He is prone to making several puns, usually bear-related. He angers quickly, but he is always willing to toy with his captives. Monokuma serves Junko Enoshima, his creator. He loves despair above all else.
