TUMBLEWEEDS CASTING CALLS

TUMBLEWEEDS CASTING CALLS

Project Overview

This series will take place in a universe where dogs and cats are the dominant species, and humans never existed. The setting is a small portion of the world that is only Wild West.

The two main main characters are Hvesda, a Carpathian Sheepdog and Sheriff of the small town she lives in. The other main main character is Dustin, an Aidi and a wanted criminal who was framed for things he didn't do. Dustin is OPENLY GAY, and this will even be a quicky comedic event touched upon at least twice, where he sees a  handsome male dog and is distracted for a moment. So do not try to do any Dusvesda shipping over here. Dustin does not act feminine and is actually still quite normal acting despite his sexuality (although he's a slUt for doing things pride related).

In this world, magic is possible, but only a few are gifted with the abilities. These few are hunted for their furs and fangs, which are made into clothes and jewelery as they give the wearer their power. They sell at high prices, so a lot of people looking for money are these famed "Witch Hunters", quite literally. Only a few ever try to hunt down these dogs, but the main leader of the industry is a dangerous Doberman named Lucius, who runs a successful casino in the Big Town. He's a criminal, but manages to pay the local cops to keep quiet and not do anything about it with his earnings from the casino. Lucius also runs an underground drug dealing business, and has even committed murder a few times.

Lucius is the king of the Witch Hunted goods trade, despite cops saying it's illegal and counted as murder. The trade is all underground, anyways. Dustin, however, is an on-the-run mage, not to mention a criminal thanks to Lucius's expert framing skills.

Dustin runs into a small town of Locomotive Pass, where he thinks he is safe. however, rumors of this infamous "multi-criminal" has spread even to here. Hvesda chases him down, however, she is seen running close to him by one of Lucius's spies that were hunting down Dustin, and is mistakened to be a fellow mage of the criminal's.

Hvesda becomes wanted as well when news of this reaches Lucius.

The two are now both on the run criminals who must try to survive the constant attacks of Lucius, and even brave his own casino, where they will find it is actually a jail for mages.

SHERIFF HVESDA

Role assigned to: Secretly_

Hvesda is a very sassy and strongheaded character. She's one of the only few female sheriffs in the western country in which the story takes place. She has to be snappy, strict, and constantly showing that she has power and responsibility. She starts of despising and being irritated by Dustin, but as they become closer she sees him like a brother to her. A gay brother. She still is very cold and closed off for most of the series, and often hides her emotions by yelling or snapping at people.

A slight Western or British accent is ideal for her. Make her sound as harsh as you want.

  • (Spooked/Irritated) "Aah! Anton! Jesus Christ, can you not scare me like that!?"

  • (Hostile/Proud) "I've got you now! No more hiding, you wanted criminal!"

  • (Disbelieving/Annoyed) "So you're telling me, that you are a mage being illegally hunted like many other mages by the rich casino owner, who practically owns most of the cops in and surrounding the capital city, and you thought that fleeing to a small town and whimpering to the Sheriff about it would solve that?"

Role assigned to: Gage Klenotic

Dustin, my sweet boy. He's a framed criminal, wanted badly by the rich scumbag Casino-owner Lucius, who for some reason seems to want Dustin dead most, out of all the mages he hunts. Dustin is very nervous and gets bad anxiety around cops aside from Hvesda. He's trusting and loyal once you show you aren't about to shiv him in the eye, though.

Also he's really, really gay, even if it doesn't show in his voice.

he can have a slight Western Accent, but mostly American please.

  • (Panicked/Out of Breath) "Oh shit, shit, shitshitshit! Of course I was caught at the worst damn time!"

  • (Proud/Snarky) "Hahah! Take that, cops! No way would anyone come running into cactus patches! Except, uh... me. Dammit."

  • (Defeated/Tired) "Rabbitsburrow... well, seems far enough away from Coyote County and Devil's Dustbin. Yeesh, how far did that Cactus Forest go? I feel like I've walked for days."

LUCIUS

Role assigned to: The Hummus Is Strange

Lucius is the snotty casino owner. He runs the Hellfire Casino in the country capital, Devil's Dustbin. He's a crafty man who knows how to get what he wants, whether by gambling, or by selling, or by even committing crimes. His intense richness has allowed him to pay off his crimes to the cops and keep them silent, and has even allowed him to frame dogs and cats he wants killed, but doesnt want to kill himself. He frames by word when he wants them brought to him. He's a drug dealer and an underground seller of clothing and jewelery made from the fur, skin, claws, and fangs of mage dogs- these goods are said to give the powers that the mages had in life to the wearer, but they're illegal, so they make big bucks.

Lucius has a very thick western and/or New York-sounding accent. He's a very threatening and sly character, and is even called a snake once or twice in the show.

  • (Conniving/Plotting) "Ah, so I see. Very well... to Rabbitsburrow, and to that wretch of a man!"

  • (Threatening/Dangerous) "Alright, look... you'll either give me information on these here rats... or you give me weapons so I can kill them and you myself. Both would be very pleasurable, though. For me, of course. You... well, you wouldn't really feel a thing."

  • (Haughty/Boastful) "I'm the richest dog in the country, and I control the cops! I practically lead this place! The only people who would be brave enough to want to hurt me are those who know I will hurt them."

LIZBETH

Unpaid

Lizbeth is a prostitute/stripper (her performances aren't shown) at a saloon in the capital city, Devil's Dustbowl. She's an undercover mage with Lightning-ka powers, but not a soul hears about it unless they prove they're mages too. She's actually asexual, but it's the only job that pays well AND isn't too noticeable, so she wont be really suspected by Lucius. She does have an inside look in the Casino, as she was captured, but escaped with bribing the guards using her thiccness, and just changed her name and died a part of her fur a different color.

She has a very strong Western/Texan accent.

  • (Seductive/Kinky) "Well, Mr. Big Guy, maybe if you just gimme a little money and let me do my work, I'l give you the information you want~"

  • (Irritated/Annoyed) "Ugh, fine, I'll tell you, just keep your mouth shut- wait, you ain't no police people are you?"

  • (Impatient/Uncaring) "Yeah, yeah, the Casino's the biggest deal in this town. His workers have the option to earn extra by patrolling the streets fer mages like me."

BACKGROUND CHARACTER AUDITIONS

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Swegg!

Just extras. I will be selecting from 3-5 of you to voice background characters and characters that play a part, but only appear once or twice in the whole series. Any accent, but preferably very thick British or Western. Southern is also good for them. They come from all parts of the world really :T

If you're unsure about getting a certain major part, just audition for this! There is still a high chance you could also get a role with another big character that just isn't listed in this, as the script isn't exactly fully developed. Characters like Merchants or Cops would also fit this role.

  • (Concerned/Alarmed) "Hey! It's the guy! The guy from the wanted posters!"

  • (Confused/Snarky) "What's Lucius doing out of his ass-cave?"

  • (Annoyed) "CAN IT, YOU NINNIES! CAN'T YOU CHEER THE POLICE ON QUIETER?"
