Touch (Sci-Fi SIms 3 Machinima)
Project Overview
A short sci-fi Sims 3 machinima. It focuses on a fictional future, and we follow an expedition to the future Austrilia, which is now frozen solid. There are a group of analysts and a Touch (someone who can touch something and see the history of that object). The Touch is a woman named Carrie, who is married to the other main character, Mark.

Mark is caring and equally as dedicated to his work as he is to his wife. He would never put her in a position of danger if there was any other way. He's very kind, but not soft-spoken. He always has a solid stance on his opinions. He can bend, but only a few people, mostly Carrie.
He takes the news of Carrie going insane very hard.
Mark:(addressing a large gathering of Thank you. I'm here today to answer as many questions as I can about my expedition to the South Tundra. But please, keep it to the expedition.
Mark:(singing no tune in particular) You are the best Touch in the world.
Mark:(anxious) Ok. You're-You're gonna be ok. You're gonna be ok, right?
MINOR ROLE
This is a younger member of the research team. He has a crush on Carrie. Obviously, to Mark's distaste.
Lyle:Hungry, Carrie?
Lyle: (he clears his throat nervously) Mark. See you at the dinner.
Lyle:Wha-? Carrie, you know my name's Lyle.
Debbie is Mark's younger sister. She's also a Touch, but also a teenager, so she doesn't like to put up with any shit. She is very understanding as she gets older.
The first two lines is Debbie as a teenager and the last is about 2 years later, so she should sound more mature.
Debbie: (annoyed) I would hit you if I could use my hands right now.
Debbie: (pissed) Oh I'm sorry. Were your hands cut up and played with? No? Then shut yourfucking mouth, take me to the fucking therapy room, and wait till next year totorture me again, Okay? Okay.
Debbie:Now listen. You love my brother. I know you do. For some reason. But you knowthat I know that he loves you more than Senior Tundra, and you guys are gonnaget more puppies. So if you're not gonna do this for the love you share, do itfor the future puppies who need a home. Be that home.

apperance depends on how the actor sounds. This character is hosting the conference concerning the expedition.
Administrator:Ladies and gentleman of the press, here today from the Earth CapitolLeviathous, Mr. Marcus Proterject.
Administrator:Silence! One question at a time, please!

Reporter2:And is it true that your leader was a Touch?
Reporter2: If she's the leader of the group, why isn't she giving the report?

MINOR ROLE
This character is a journalist from another planet.
Reporter5: What happened to her?
India is the main subject of Carrie's excavation and she's the personality that kind of takes over Carrie. She lived about 300 years before the base story line.
Her character for the most part is presented through Carrie. She knows that she's dead because she's also influenced by Carrie's thoughts. But India by herself is fairly pompous and full of herself. She tends to disapprove of authority that isn't giving to her.
India:Am I free to go? Or do you want to press charges against my phone plan?
India:(anger) My "condition" is irrelevant. (reverting back to casual) Imean, yeah sand gets caught in the brace sometimes, but you know. It's likegetting some, I don't know, popcorn kernel stuck in your teeth.
India:Shark attack. I will never ever ever go back to California. Took my leg off.
MINOR ROLE
She's another important member of the expedition, though she is a bit older. She tries to be paitent with Carrie, but often her own goals show through.
Heather:Let's hope it's not too big. Dinnershould be ready soon.
Heather:No, please just let us ask questions!
MINOR ROLE
Two characters in one. They're twins, but still should sound a bit different.
Adam:Alright. What kind of dialect did they speak in?
Chris:But they spoke English, yes?
MINOR ROLE
This general is another character from the past. He has to put up with India as she just in general gets on his nerves.
General:Sit, Ms. Jones.
General: You have todo what you're told, Jones! You are on this camp at the courtesy of ourmilitary, and when you live with us, eat our food, sleep in our beds, you haveto follow the same rules as the other men.
General:Dismissed.
MINOR ROLE
He/She's an alien as well as Carrie's psychiatrist. He/She is very cut and dry, but is sincere enough to his patients and their problems.
Dr.Robins: I have… bad news, Mark. After evaluating Carrie's condition…
Dr. Robins: It's notuncommon for the Touch to become stuck in their visions.
Dr. Robins:Unfortunately, Mr. Proterject, there haven't cases of full recovery. Signs ofimprovement though with a lot of counseling and the appropriate amount ofsupervision. The Clarity center in Destrium is the best on Earth though. Sheshould have no problem getting admitted.
MINOR ROLE
This is Mark's step-mom. She's a huuuge hippie, often not understanding the inflictions of her own words. She doesn't have good people skills.
The scene these lines come from is during a wedding. She's trying to calm the bride.
Sundrop:Darling. You're wearing them.
Sundrop:You look red. Not pale.
Sundrop:I-I mean it's a blush, doll. Really very flattering.
MINOR ROLE
Mark's mother is the matriarch of the household, and she doesn not approve of Carrie and Mark's relationship. Unfortunately however, Mark has given her little influence on them.
During the scene, she's trying to bully Carrie (or as she calls her, Carol)
Mark'smom: So, Carol.
Mark's mom: Yes, butyou still look red.
Mark's mom: Mark, Ineed to finish her make-up.

This character is a journalist from Earth.
Reporter 1: Mr.Proterject! Mr. Proterject!
Reporter 1: Alright,so the outer colonies still don't know exactly what you were doing there all byyourself. Care to explain your actions, sir?
Reporter 1: Did younot have a psychologist on your expedition?
MINOR ROLE
He's an older member of the group, one of the Senior Staff.
In the middle of the first line he runs into an awkward situation so he should be stuttering and awkward.
Monk:Ms. Proterject. Whenever you're ready to, uh…
Monk:Some kind of message under direst?
Carrie is an easy-going, but hard-working woman. She is the leader, but is also very approachable. She does take her job seriously, but leans towards her own interests more often than she'd like. Her voice should be full of energy at all times.
Now Carrie does use a british accent on occasion, and tries to do a deep masculine voice (these accents don't have to be perfect, because they don't exist in this world anymore) She also sings a bit. The first verse "This little light of mine"
And she does go insane at the end.
Carrie:Okay guys, are we going to get this started or should we wait till we're part of the exhibit?
Carrie:Oh it's great. You're gonna love it, Mark!
Carrie:(trying to quiet him down) Shhhh. Keep quiet. This is why I don't tell you stuff. Can't keep it to yourself.
