Time/Divided (2nd Call)
Project Overview
Note that audition lines/deadline and character descriptions may be subject to abrupt changes.

Time/Divided is a game I am working on using RPG Maker VX Ace. It takes place in Chicago in the year 2043, when the news has (rather bluntly) begun reporting about the existence of a time machine, created by a supposedly-non-existant group called the Underwater Railroad. As a result of this time machine's existence, a whole lot of weird things begin to occur. (Though, arguably, some of it is probably not all that unusual considering this is Chicago we're talking about. Ha ha.)
There are some roles I neglected to cast in the first casting call, and some extras have arisen. I may add more if I need more extra roles as I work on it, else any new extras will be in the next casting call I put up.
I also need some help with other aspects of the game, so I will include "staff" roles here too.
Requirements:
- Good quality audio is preferred for actors (however, if you don't have a good microphone, I'm sure I can work some editing magic somehow)
- Must be easy to contact if chosen for a role (preferably via e-mail, however Skype also accepted)

Role type: Side
Voice type: Medium to Medium-low
Father of Cochryn. He's very overprotective of his son, and is aggressively anti-vaccines. However, he's a kind guy deep down.
(weary/serious) Come into the kitchen, Cochryn. There's... something we need to discuss.
(worried) Cochryn, it's just... After what happened to your mother, I just want what's best for you.
(serious) I have to go to the store. You're staying home from school for the rest of the day.
Accent: Think Godfather or thick Jersey/Boston accent.
Role type: Extra/Enemy
Voice type: Any
The punks are an enemy. Every punk has the same voice, because ha ha. They're overconfident in their own abilities and like to tease.
(taunting) Well, why don'cha geddup and fight me if yer so tough then, huh?
(slightly threatening) Seems you're well-informed, pops. They want you and yer brat out of the picture, capisce?
(hurt) Geez, you three are tougher than you look...
I'd like people who are fluent in other languages to help me translate the game into other languages. This isn't necessary, obviously, but I'm fascinated with other languages and I would love to have the game translated. (And, frankly, my opinion on this is that the earlier I start with translating, the easier it will be in the future to add in translations as soon as scenes are completed)
E-mail me at [email protected] if you can give me a hand (Let me know what language(s) you can translate to as well)
Role type: Extra/Enemy
Voice type: Any
The soldiers defending the Underwater Railroad. They're... well, they're guards. There really isn't much else to be said.
(intimidating/shouting) Hey!
(warning) Back away from the gate immediately, or we will open fire.
Role type: Extra
Voice type: Any
I'll probably use the same actor for the voice of every cop in the game, too. I feel like doing so is slightly comedic yet really stupid at the same time, which is fine by me.
(warning) Kid, you can't come any closer.
(honest) You're lucky you skipped today.
**The role is male, but set to M/F so that actors/actresses will notice the voice type note**
Accent: Japanese (not too heavy)
Role type: Main
Voice type: Somewhat feminine (can be voiced by a boyish-sounding girl?)
Straight from Japan, Koizumi is a boy... or, well, he says he is. He's got cat ears and a long tail, and his outfit is rather... odd. He's very cheery and takes things as they come with optimism.
It helps if you know how to read romaji, or at least basic hiragana/katakana. I will include both when necessary in scripts (or however you prefer if you are cast).
(scared) Nee, tasuke te! (Neh, tahs-keh teh!) ["Help me!"]
(happy) Well, see, if I move the Knight here... Checkmate!
(explaining/optimistic) I ended up with pirates somehow, and now I'm here. I need to get back to Japan. Maybe a time machine will help somehow.
I need musicians who are willing to work for free (I should note that I will not be making any financial profit from any release of this game, finished copy or otherwise; it will be free) and can do any of the following sorts of tracks:
* Character themes
* Title/attract screen music
* Battle themes (loopable)
* Small extra tracks (loopable for scenes or otherwise for misc events (ex. game over, winning battle)
Post a sample if you want, or e-mail me a sample at [email protected]
If you want to lend me a helping hand with this project, fire me an e-mail at [email protected] letting me know what you can do. Be it making artwork, helping out with writing, sound design, etc. etc. Let me know and I'll let you know if I need your help. :)
See description
Accent: Think stereotypical pirate accent with a touch of Swedish (or Dutch. Whatever. This site doesn't have a Swedish option, so anything goes).
Role type: Side
Voice type: Medium
Bad-Eye Bob gets his name because he doesn't have the best vision. Out of the entire pirate crew, he's the kindest. He's never angry, and always seems very calm. His calm nature tends to infurate Oliver and Tim, but he doesn't really seem to care. His best friend is Phill... for some reason. (Maybe he can't see Phill correctly, despite that being rather difficult.)
(calm) Welcome aboard, guys. Don't mind the others. They're a bit wacky.
(calm) Does anyone know where the rope for the sails is? Oh, I've tripped on it. Everything's alright, though.
Accent: Think stereotypical pirate accent with a touch of Australian.
Role type: Side
Voice type: Medium
Cat-Paw Cate is, in family-friendly terms, "very loving". I don't mean that in a "hug hug kiss kiss" sort of way, not entirely, more a "let's bone in the back seventeen times and then I'll bone someone else" sort of way. She falls in lust in quick succession, and almost always wants more. Where she's from or why she's an eccentric nymphomaniac is a mystery, however.
This role is an awkward one, probably, since it may require some moans and stuff. You shouldn't audition if you're not comfortable with that sort of stuff.
(flirty) Well, aren't you a handsome man. Do you like what you see?
(flirty/excited) We should go fast, don't you think?
Role type: Extra
Voice type: Any
This guy sure is making a profit off of the main characters, considering he'll probably be the only shopkeeper in the game. Sort of like the merchant from Resident Evil 4, I suppose. Ha ha.
He's quite blunt about things, and seems to be sick of his job.
(slightly sarcastic) Good afternoon. How may I help you?
(flat) $230.
(bored) Come again.
Accent: Think stereotypical pirate accent with a touch of German.
Role type: Side
Voice type: Medium to Medium-low
Two-Feet Tim is a very angry man. He has an explosive temper over even the smallest things. It's quite rare to see him docile.
(furious) I said I like to be alone, now get out of my face!
(enraged) Why are we taking random civilians aboard, Oliver?! Are you stupid?! They'll ruin us!
(docile, though slightly frustrated) I like it when it's cold and quiet at night, but you're ruining that last part by talking to me.
Accent: Think stereotypical pirate accent with a touch of Irish.
Role type: Side
Voice type: Medium-low to Low, sort of growly
One-Eyed Oliver is a pirate, as fate would have it. What he and his crew are actually doing in Chicago, no one knows, but he's there, alright. Oliver is an aggressive and ambitious man. He's tough, and doesn't really know when to back down from a fight. His violent tendencies have resulted both in the loss of one of his eyes and the deaths of many former crew members, but he sticks with his remaining crew for reasons that seem obvious, but really aren't.
(proud) We just sailed here from Japan. Oh, the plunder we left with! (somewhat bitter) I just wish I hadn't had to do all the hard work m'self.
(demanding/shouting) Do as yer told, and perhaps I won't throw ye overboard!!
I need spriters that can help me out with making Behavior and Damage sprite sets for main characters. I'm alright at editing sprites, but trying to mimic other bases like that is too much for me. :(
E-mail me at [email protected] if you can give me a hand
